  1. Last week I paper filed an I-131, Reentry Permit application. It was delivered on Apr 17 2024. I did not get my receipt yet, and I need to travel outside of US briefly next week for just a few days. Is there a problem with leaving for a short time before getting the USCIS receipt? My application for the reentry permit is not connected to the above trip, but another extended trip starting in June 2024.
  2. good luck, I am sure you will be fine!
  3. Case filing and issuance of summonses can be challenging if you are outside of the US. Filing on your own will require very careful consideration.
  4. Hacking is fine too (a bit more expensive). Since AP cases are very easy, they are just using their common lawsuit template putting your name, so it doesn't make sense to pay so much. I would go with Curtis Morrison, because he is doing more difficult litigation than Goldstein or Hacking, and in my experience, more approachable.
  5. Don't go with them, they have bad customer service. Go with Curtis Lee Morrison, he charges less ($4000) than Goldstein
  6. Yes, 6 months. I did mine 3 months before interview. They will not let you repeat your medical until your AP is complete. 80 days is too long, you should sue them now. DS-5535 takes more than 1 year to complete, and unless you don't mind waiting, lawsuit will get you your visa in 4 months (if you start now).
  7. Hi Everyone! Has anyone experienced something similar? Long story short: in November, during my green card interview in Amsterdam the consular officer told me that my visa was approved (she told this to me twice). After 8 hours or so, I got an email from the embassy asking to fill out DS-5535 ASAP. My Dutch passport is still with the consulate, and it has been already over 1 month that they are doing administrative processing. I sent them an e-mail asking for a status update, however, the reply was "we'll only contact you once the AP is over, and will not reply to further inquiries anymore". Anyone with similar experience with the DS-5535 in Amsterdam?
