  1. They told my husband the same thing at his interview Jan 10 and it took then til Feb 25 to update the website. We felt very postive also but it is nerve wracking. Feb 25 status went to Placed in Que for Oath Ceremony and then on March 11 they updated again saying they scheduled Oath Ceremony and mail date, time and location. We received that on March 14 and our Oath Ceremony is tomorrow March 20. So I guess the point to my long Congratulation is they don't update the website often so don't get discourged. It will happen, on USCIS time and sometimes that is just not fast enough for us.

  2. any ideas guys?

We went thru all the same and all turned out well. Our interview was January 10 and our post decision was from Jan 10 to Feb 25 when we were put in the que to schedule the Oath Ceremony. Just today it was update to our Oath has been sechedule and a letter was mailed yesterday with Date, Time and Location. Hope it is in the mail today when I get home from work. I think it is all normal

  3. I have seen some on here post that they went to their local office website and found out dates of upcoming oath ceremonies. Where do you find this information? I have tried going thru uscis.gov to my local office but it just gives general information, like address, driving directions etc. Nothing about upcoming event. My local office is Greer South Carolina if anyone has any information that would be helpful. Thanks

  4. This is our update on the USCIS.gov

On February 25, 2013, we placed your application in the oath scheduling que. We will send a notice when the ceremony is scheduled. If you move prior to the scheduled ceremony, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

We had our interview on January 10 and this is the first thing we have heard since the interview.

Does anyone know if they will update again with the actually Oath Date when it is assigned?

  5. How often do they update this? When I check my husbands receipt # it still says his interview letter was mailed out Dec 6. It was and his interview was Jan 10. We still are in the interview process catagory and it has not been moved over to the decision catagory. The receptionist told me we should get out oath ceremony within 2 weeks althought the OIC told my husband 2 months (big difference) Today is 3 weeks and I want to get the oath ceremony over with and be done with this.

  6. We also sent in pictures with entire N-400 package and when we got the interview appt. we took all the orig. that were sent in the package. I told hubby to get another set of pictures made before the interview and that was the only thing they were missing. his passports pictures were also lost but luckily we had another set to give them at the interview and all was well. Now just waiting on Oath Ceremony date.

  7. My DH goes for his interview on Thursday Jan 10.

We filled out all the paperwork and on the N-400 Section D question 15 (Good Moral Character)

Question is Have you ever committed a crime or offense for which you were not arrested? We answered No.

Now that he is studying for the interview he is questioning if we should have put yes since he came illegal. What do ya'll think?

And if they ask him this in the interview should he change his answer

  8. 11/5/12 Mailed N-400 Package

    11/7/12 Delivered N-400

11/15/12 Received Letter they received N-400

    11/17/12 Received Appt for Biometric

    11/27/12 Went and did Biometric

    12/10/12 Received Letter for Interview

    1/10/13 Interview

We are going thru the Greer, SC office of USCIS

I saw on the Internet that some offices have the oath ceremony at the same time of the interview if they pass the test. I have not been able to fine if Greer, SC is one of those offices. I want to go with hubby to interview but letter said not to bring anyone with you unless it is for transportation or translation. They said it is about 2 hours and his appointment is at 2:00.

Just got off the phone with USCIS office and they can't tell me if they will do the oath ceremony the same day as the interview but there is a chance they could. I explained that I wanted to be there for the ceremony but did not need to come just for the test / interview. She just said she could not tell me either way. I have heard that the ceremony is a Big Deal and family comes. I really would like for our son (7 years old) to be there when his dad becomes a citizenship but hate to keep him out of school for no reason if they schedule it later. Has anyone else had their Oath Ceremony immediately following their interview.

  9. I'm putting my AOS package together and I have a question:

On the I-765 it ask for all SS # used. I ask Laurel Scott in one of her chats and she said in the past it has not mattered, but they are getting stict on this issue. She said she would probably go ahead and list it, but she could not promise it would not be an issue. So I decided to e-mail my Lawyer and ask them..(I paid them for the K-3, but I trying to do the AOS on my own). They said put NONE since my husband has never had one issued in his name. My husband was reading over all the forms and questions and is concerned about putting NONE since on the G-325A you list all your employment. He said if we put NONE it is kind of like contradicting ourselves, cause in order to work he had to give them a SS # for the past 7 years.

My husband used a false SS # for work. The SS Admin. never issued him one with his name. That number is on all of his W-2's. When we file taxes I mark out the SS# and write in his ITIN# and file taxes. We are very confused on what to do and I need desperately to get these forms in so he can come back to work. They are saying 11 weeks for him to receive the EAD.

Just wondering what you all did?
