hi to all,
my wife received packet 4 early march. i called the nvc to verify if she can do the medical exam already. they said yes since the case was expedited, but a week later my wife calls me frantically and tells me that she received packet 3?! so im like #######?! now in all the confusion involved in this process they are asking for documents that are not past 6 months. well we've had everything from the get go. now we don't even know which one to process... and this was supposed to be expedited... what the heck USE?!

now here comes the questions. my i130 got approved back in nov 5 2007. the NOA2 letter says to give it 2-4weeks for processing. so i called the NVC about mid december. the person that i talked to gave me a case number. so i asked her. what are you processing, the i130? the i129f? or both? of course she said no, we are processing the i130 this her is for a greencard. im like what?! ok im confused. she said that the i130 is going to have a different interview at the USEM in manila and that they're going to send her a packet in the mail in february. ok first off why are they processing the 130 and the 129 separately? why is there a different USEM interview for the 130 and the 129f? also how do you know if your pending case has been "TOUCHED"? how do you do the RFE trick? im so confused. i need help. can you guys help me?
Thanks,

thanks to all of your replies! i appreciate all of them.
i reread the I-130 NOA2 that CIS sent me, it still isn't clear to me why they're sending it to the NVC already if its just the I-130 alone. because from what i have read from different posts is that the I-129F is the one that the NVC will take action on but, it also says on the NOA2 that they will be contacting my spouse regarding the visa processing steps. my question is, are they processing the I-130 and the I-129F together or is the I-129F disregarded since they are already starting the process of her visa application by contacting her? the letter also says that it is forwarding the visa petition to the appropriate consular office. this is why i'm so confused.

The Doctor at your medical will decide which vaccinations you will need. the cost is included in the medical. The Td shot usaully is not available at St. Lukes, so you'll have to get that one here.
There is an advantage to that because a vaccine is now available in the U.S. that adds vaccination for whooping cough, which seems to be more and more prevalent.
Nice question pechez...i got that on my mind too...now i got the answers from here..thank you..but im wondering though, if its ok. if i get a vaccination for tb here? just the first shot? cuz i heard that all of us from phil. are normaly exposed to this TB thingy? dont geet it exactly but that was what ive learned...any advise or answer?
God bless us all and have a happy holidays.
The vaccination requirements for different ages is here: http://www.panelphysicians.com/Pages/Age6.htm
I don't believe there is one for TB. Only shots for treatment.
The new vaccine for whooping cough or pertussis can be obtained here in the states. since most of the military service members in Iraq and Afghanistan are developing whooping cough while they're over there, the military immunizes everbody that goes there with Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis vaccines). so, therefore it is available stateside. Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) is a vaccine against tuberculosis that is prepared from a strain of the attenuated (weakened) live bovine tuberculosis bacillus, Mycobacterium bovis, that has lost its virulence in humans by being specially cultured in an artificial medium for years. The bacilli have retained enough strong antigenicity to become a SOMEWHAT EFFECTIVE for the prevention of human tuberculosis. At best, the BCG vaccine is 80% effective in preventing tuberculosis for a duration of 15 years, however, its protective effect appears to vary according to geography. ------
so in short there is no shot treatment of tuberculosis. the US does not recognize the BCG as a valid form of vaccine since it "might" only work for a period of 15 years.
what i say might be true or not it depends...

my questions are...
what are we supposed to do with packet 3 and 4?
in the instructions on packet 4 that came first it said; Appointment date: 7 am any working day. bring all the requirements that are listed. so we were all happy and what not. cool send her what she needs to bring to the USEM and then thats it.
in the instructions on packet 3 which came a week later. it said, send all the pre interview forms before doing your medical and the marriage cert and birth cert (mine and hers) should've been issued within 6 months to be usable. and also the ds230.
im not even that sure which packet to do first because 4 came before 3. but if we do 4 before we do 3 what are the consequences?
so today im going to call the USEM and clarify this.
sorry im venting my frustrations and asking questions. i just didn't clarify it all that well.
