Thanks! I did use google before posting here, but I am a bit rusty when it comes to immigration stuff so my search terms were failing! I am not used to IRS lingo either, so "return number" wasn't coming up with much when I looked through google today. Now to figure out what the consulate is demanding in the other topic! Thanks again for helping out.

- Google wasn't being my friend today! I must be using bad search terms!Now I just need to see if anyone understands the document I attached to this topic! We really are confused about the tax return section of that consulate request. Let me know if you understand it. We just need to know if he is supposed to have the IRS send certified copies or just send the copies he has at home. The check boxes are throwing us off since not sure if certified copies are only needed if there's a mark on those boxes (boxes that seem to not belong there seeing how the paragraph is coming off as just information)

P.S. Sorry if this isn't very on topic in this sub-forum...it is related to CR-1 Spouse visas, I wasn't sure where it should be placed on the boards for the best help. Her husband is a US citizen and she's still in China. This immigration process has been going for about 6 years now from what I've been told.
Also, I came to this conclusion with the check boxes because the last paragraph (that has black marker on it now) is only informational and still has a check box sitting next to it. I am seeing them as bullet points that were failed to be removed.

I am helping my father out with some RFE documents. He's the co-sponsor on the document I've attached to this post.
We're confused on the Tax Return part. I am reading it as since he's been marked to provide IRS CERTIFIED copies of the tax return. Since the 2 paragraphs below talk about what the person "above" needs to do. My dad is arguing saying that he doesn't need to provide certified copies and just regular copies of what he already has at home.
We've been arguing about this for the past 4-5 days! I am seeing it that the check boxes aren't meant to be by those 2 paragraphs (following the one saying he needs to send in 09,10,11 returns). I took those 2 paragraphs as simply information about what the X'ed cosponsor needs to exactly do.
How is everyone else understanding this???
The beneficiary says she reads it as not needing certified copies, but thing is she was already wrong on some other bits of information so I am hesitant to take her word for it. They did have a lawyer dealing with these things, but dude dropped out because he wanted more money if they wanted him to do more paperwork...o_O
Hope someone can help out. I am totally confused now and not sure what type of returns he's meant to send in. They won't even contact the consulate to ask. *flips tables*

My father is needing my help in an immigration case that resulted in RFE's. He's supposed to be the co-sponsor and needs to send documents in, can someone tell me the mailing address? Is it this one???

Thanks to anyone who helps me out here! They had an immigration lawyer, but he dropped out because he wanted more money to continue it any further. It's been a dragged out 6 years and it's finally down getting co-sponsor documents to getting approved. :/

I had my biometrics appointment on Jan 21/2011 and when I go on line to check my case status it says " unable to find". Does anyone have the same problem?
Apparently, it's a common occurrence! I was able to see my online statuses eventually.

hey guys, I just added myself to the list of December filers, I filed on December and had my biometrics in jan 31st. I have a couple a questions.... is there an interview to remove conditions????? I was almost sure there will be one but apparently there is no interview right???????
Also.... whats going on with Vermont SC????? nobody is getting approved..... I will check the november filers to see how are they doing.

I might be wrong, but I think interviews are only scheduled whenever USCIS thinks it may be necessary...so you know, case by case basis. My hubby & I personally didn't have to go through an interview.

No idea. I just heard that on the radio yesterday. Try fox59.com, their news TV news this morning was mainly weather coverage. Tomorrow is supposed to be better, in Indy anyway.

Here is my dilemma
I have sent in my ROC, did the Bio and waiting for the next step from the USCIS. I feel i have sent less evidence then I have, I know its after the fact. In your expert opinion, do you think I must send in the bank account, insurance ect, now or wait and see if I get an RFE? what are your thoughts on doing one or the other?
I think you should wait until you get a RFE. I don't browse here often, but I think people usually tend to send in extra stuff only if USCIS sends them a RFE stating what they need. They may request more than just what you send in.

Heya, Marion County (where the office is) is supposed to be fine by Friday am. Winter storm warning in effect for 1am Thurs to 1am Friday. Hope that helps you make a decision. Otherwise Indy is okay for walk-ins provided you go in later in the afternoon (maybe about 2-3pm) and are okay with being grumbled at.
Hope you get there for your appointment!
My mom was telling me about the warnings in effect earlier, trying to make me feel less nervous. lol - I don't mind being grumbled at if the reason we're late is truthful...they can take or leave it.
- Our appointment is at 2PM & we plan on leaving earlier than we usually do for Indy trips...so I just want to be sure they don't close on us! Thank you for the help! I keep meaning to check the weather site today, but my mom keeps acting as my weatherlady & making me forget. lol

We're in Indiana, so there's been some Winter Storms going on. Does anyone know if ASC cancels appointments (aka close their office) in such case? It's been snowing all week & our appointment is on Friday. I am concerned since we have to drive about 2 hours to get biometrics done.
Sorry if this is a silly question, but I have learned that assuming things usually lead to the opposite anymore...so I need to ask about this!
- Wasn't sure if USCIS reps would be any help at all.

- I always found it easy to track our other cases in the past (haven't needed to track anything for almost 2 years though), so this new system made me assume it's not so easy anymore! Relieved to see that are definitely others having the same problem. My initial thought was that they gave me the wrong number.

That happened to us with our AOS. Our I485 never showed up in the system until after it was approved. The online system sucks. We were able to see our I130 and I765 though.
That sucks that one can't depend on the online system. You think USCIS would have something like that running smoothly.

With USCIS being unhelpful at the moment (with their dragged out automated line), we'll check online again after his bio appointment (jan 21st). Hopefully the WAC# finally becomes valid after that. It'd be nice to able to track it, so we know when to expect things in the mail.

Once you get the Bio appt notice, it will have the confirmation number that you can use to to check the status online.
That's the confirmation number I have been trying to use for the USCIS site.
I even called the automated line & it says it doesn't exist. o.O
I guess it's time to call the dudes.
if you look at your asc appointment letter for boimetrics, there is a new case number,EAC, OR WAC you use that new number on line to check status,use caps and no spaces,hope that works,
That's been the number I'm trying to track with. It's time to call them.

I remember it being easy to track our past receipt numbers (for our other immigration processes) on the USCIS site. I haven't been able to get any sort of information on our I-751 form. It just says the record doesn't exist. Is this normal? If so, does it get into the online system after our bio appointment? We received our bio letter last week.
I thought I ask here first before I spent a long time (like I always had to before) on the phone waiting for an USCIS agent.

my check got cashed on dec. 31 . still waiting for noa1 .just wondering how long do u guys think it takes to recieve noa1 after check has been cashed ?
It personally took about 2 weeks to receive my NOA1 letter. (Check was cashed on the Dec 15th, got the letter on Dec 30)
