Hi,

I have a question regarding the interview. My wife has an interview on August 5, 08. Our NVC paper status shows that they have the original birth certificate (nufus kayit ornegi) and Original Police Records, and they were translated into English.

My question is, do we need to get these documents with translations again for the interview?? All other required documents checked out as completed on the letter we recieved from the NVC.

I have a question.. Did you request military expedite for your papers going through the NVC? I noticed that it took 51 days only for the NVC processing your papers and send them to Ankara..... Good luck with the interview

I am there with you in the same boat odeoaldorf. VSC Early August 07 filer and still no approval, nothing nada. See my signature timelines

I contacted my congressman regarding my I-130 and I-129F petition for my wife because I don't get an answer when I call USCIS. Following is congressman's office's response regarding our case

"Folowing up with the USCIS VSC this afternoon after receiving your message, I was told that filing the I-129F petition so long after submitting the I-130 petition had reverse effect of what you had intended - it actually slowed down the processing as the two files needs to be combined. This can be rather laborious process. However, the petitions are now waiting to be picked up by an adjucating officer."

Go figure....I couldn't submit I-129F earlier because I did not have the NOA1 until Jan 16, 08!!! Well this explains most of the delays.

Hey Everyone,

I called USCIS regarding receipting dates and good news!!

Date shown online is the entry date to the system but they have Priority Date which we don't see online. Forexample, they received our petition in the SYSTEM on January 14, 08 that was also the date my check was cashed. They had the petition since August 11, 07 in their mailbox, But our Priority Date is August 13, 07 which is two days after they actually received my mail in their mailbox. They are processing our petitions in the order of Priority Dates. I got this info from very nice and helpful officer.

Do you think that is there because they only added it today?

You can tell with the update date column, when date changes that means it was touched. I believe they entered it on public website today.

I am wondering, did any of you guys filed I-129F also??? I am trying to understand if filing I-129F is delaying I-130 approvals.

Well....Ombudsman Office called me back this morning and their answer is no different than what we all know already. Due to back log blah blah blah....., they are working hard to resolve the issue but they dont' have a date yet, I should give them some more time... blah blah blah.... USCIS gave the their typical explanation to Ombudsman Office also

How do I find out who my Omsbudsman is? Address, and if you could maybe an example of the letter you wrote.

I'm now almost at 6 months with no progress whatsoever and I'm desperate to try to do SOMEThing.

Just fill out the Form 7001 and overnight it to the address shown on the form, no need to write a letter, maybe little description of your situation in the space provided within the form. Form is very easy to fill out.

WOW!!!! I just got a call from Ombudsman Office too. This cool chick LOL !!! told me that they are going to make calls to USCIS and call me back.... AWSOME!!!

Thanks Evgeniya...Actually my conressman got the receipt number for me which is off by one digit from the number I have on back of the cancelled check. I hope next thing we hear is the approval. My case is not showing up online though I am going to call them tomorrow.
