    Hi,

Try again to call them, it is not easy but somehow it is possible to get a real person, I usually end up pressing choices that is not the choice for my question.

But eventually I have reached an actual person :)

I wish you all the best of luck!

hey I got it, thanks for your help.

  5. Were in Colorado and tried to get joan a state ID card, they made us fill out this S.A.V.E information, it will be sent in to home land security to check, they said if all is well she can get in 3 weeks sometimes it takes 9 weeks, she can not get a checking account or anything, even though she has a S.S card, were just trying to gather all the evidence we can for proof of relationship. good luck

  6. Everything was going along nice, joan applied for her s.s. card and got it after a few weeks, then after we married we went down and she applied for a new card with name change, they said 2 weeks, after the 3rd week still not there, we had checked with the s.s. office a few times, we had a change of address for 9/26, I took a better job in denver, we found out the post office will not forward s.s. mail so no card, now they tell us we must wait for her green card to show prove of her name, they say wedding license is not enough, she can not work even though she has a number, but no card. cannot get any id or drivers license, did'nt see this comming. maybe she can get her green card in 5 or 6 months. thanks for listening.

  8. OP's spouse is just applying for AOS so no greencard to look at for this number

A# number is in your NOA or approval notice for I-129f you will find it there it's the alien number

the I-129 approved does not have this number, and they have my name as the petioner and beneficiary both, then i started looking thourgh everything, and found the A- number on a RFE form they sent us, i also noticed that the I-864 ask for the number but also says (if any) the I-485 also. joan is all upset about this, but it has not stope us yet.

  9. hello, hey people we were filling out some of the forms, and joan noticed there is no alien registration #, she says all of the girls she knows has this, is it important,

getting everything ready we have the forms I-485, I-864 and 3 years taxes, I-693, I-765, I-131, wedding lic, waiting on the s.s. # copies of I-94, birth cert. and passport,

mixed in with a home sick bride, getting crankie over the food. guess were about ready to go.

    thanks dan

  10. My fiancee just received her P4 with interview date in Guangzhou. We received it on 8/8/08... lucky number 888!

To our surprise, the interview date is 9/3/08, which is way earlier than we anticipated. I already have a vacation planned to visit her from 8/14-8/25, and now I just bought another ticket for 9/1-9/7.

Looks like I won't be there for the American Citizen Day, since that is on a Friday only, correct?

    Wish us luck!

(and if you have suggestions you want to share, now is the time :))

good luck!!!! I went last june, joan's interview was on tuesday the 3rd, and the meeting at the embassy was on mondays at 2:00p.m, I went there and had a very good talk with them, maybe the day has been changed again. hope it all works out.

  11. We have our interview next month and I thought I read somewhere in the papers that I (uS Citizen) need a birth certificate as well. Is this correct or did I read it wrong? I haev a passport, is that good enough, or do I need to get my Birth Certificate?

Also, do we bring pictures with us? I read some say yes, and others say no...

    Thanks

they only ask for her birth certificate, but I would take both, and we took many pictures of us and her family and they looked at all of them.

  14. Wow Its finally here the interview is on July 17th in Guangzhou China Shuyan is so nervous I am completing all the documents and have a few questions I hope you guys can help me out? I had Shuyan list the items I need and its just proof of Residency and of Course the I-134 amd all the paperwork required bank statements and tax returns Letter from Employer. Etc but it does not say the I 864 is required should I include it anyways? Thank You in Advance....Oh My lawyer said some Embassies require both I134 and I864and some do not & It depends on what Shuyan's packet asks for? But you know how this is I am freaking out here should I just send everything I can?

hello, I took both and they handed back the I-864, did not want it, but they looked over theI-134 very close, and all 3 years of my tax returns.

  15. We finally received an interview date, and they gave us a time of 7:30 A.M. Does everyone get this time, and is there an order that you are called in?

hello. the 7:15a.m. is the first wave of people, we got there at 6:20 and there were about 10 in line already, they made us stand there till 7:55a.m. then dropped the rail and everyone rushed forward, they send one man out to check your letter and passport, I had heard there were 3 times that day and about 700 each time.

  16. A. How close to the actual date of your interview does the date on your letter of intent need to be?

    B. Does it need to be notarized? I've seen forums where people say it needs to be and others where they say it's not necessary.

    Thank you for your help!

hello, are letter of intent was dated in april, and are interview was in june, I had ares notarized it only took a minute and cost very little, in joan's interview they never ask for it, and she offered to show them but, they said it would not be needed, but each case is different.
