We are in DC and you have to have an appointment with the correct form. I printed off the one on here and it is for New York and the one for here must also be typed. I need help ASAP in order to correct the problem because the people at the paaort office will help you do nothing.

I have called and don't get any direction from them on what to do.

My wife needs to renew her passport here in America as it has been almost 10 years. We live in South Carolina and believe the nearest Chinese embassy to do that is Washington DC. Her passport has her Chinese name and her green card has her American name. I don't have her birth  certificate but we do have our chinese marriage license. What do I need to do to renew her passport before it expires? I dont want to travel there to find out I dont have something they need or that I dont got.

I just checked the USCIS website that say's they ordered the production of my wife and son's 10 year green card as of yesterday 9/7/11. I don't have a firm letter or cards as of yet. However, I am fine with the confirmation from USCIS WOOOOOHOOOOW

Well I live in Texas and went through the I-130 process with my wife from here. We went through Vermont and they were slower then California. Our case was transferred to California when then fell to far behind just like they are now. However, my wife is here now so I don't mind the wait.

You really don't have to have tons of information about your ex's because they are looking at you relationship with your wife now. You had to submit the single status already in order o ge married and that is not required during the interview. Yes Darnell is correct I think they have made decisions even before the interview. I went with my wife and gave her my passport to take with her to show that I was downstairs in the coffe shop waiting. I have been to China 5 times. I also wrote a letter to the VO for my wife to give that gave a breif summary of my trips to China and that they please let us start sharing the rest of our lives together. We currently are going through our I 751 which is the removal of conditions on her and my son's green cards. You will want to keep everything along with once you get her visa all the information on credit cards, home and car loans along with bank account information, health, wills ect. So when the time comes to remove conditions you will have all the information. Keeps copies of everything you send them.

I would have to agree with Wuhaun I hope I got it right. However, lawyers make mistakes 2. If you want to save money and you pay attention and follow direction closely along with using your fellow VJ's here you can do it.

Well could I get someone to update me at the VSC. they received my 1-751 on 3/9/11. they cashed my check on 3-15. I rceived my wife's 1 year NOA on 3-19-11. Even though I have an EAC number to check with there is showing no accetance yet in the system.

I visited China in May, and lost my card while i was in China. I had to postpone my flight and go to the US embassy in Beijing where I was given a return letter. I returned back to US with the letter safely and smoothly. However I didn't apply for a replacement of the card, thinking i would apply for removal of conditions.

I submitted petition to remove the conditions when i came back to US in June, and just received appointment for biometrics, in which I were asked to bring in green card among other things. I have a photo copy of the card. Now I'm concerned. Are the photo copy of the card along with the return letter from the US embassy good and sufficient? Are there anyone had similary problems like this? Can you share your experience?

My wife's passport is in her Chinese name and her green card came with her american name. Is this a problem if she want's to travel? She wnats to keep her american last name. i hould be able to get all the documents and things she needs from the green card right? Does anyone know how much trouble it is to change her passport to her american last name?

Well Sasha we re still here for you or at least I am. So have you thought about being checked before the interview to make sure everything is OK. It is great having the wife here now and we ahve been very busy. mny things to do now that she is here. The main thing is to work on her English speaking more. However, family and friends have kept us very busy every weekend since we got back. I don't mind really because now that the wife is home I can spend whatever time I need to getting things done.
