I filed mine on the 17th jan, and haven't heard a thing as yet (currently 3rd feb) No NOAs, no checks cashed. All sorts of paranoid thoughts have flashed through my head, but there's little point in entertaining any of them. As far as I'm concerned, my envelope full of forms, photocopies and photos is in the best possible of hands, and they'll keep me informed as they see fit.
I wouldn't get anxious about it, i'd save your anxiety for more important things like cholestorol levels, or global warming
I sent mine a month ago and have heard nothing!! No receipt, nothing. I'm just relieved to hear that I am not the only one....

Further to this, do non-US citizens go through customs? And is it ok to fly even if my visitors visa has expired but I have applied for AOS?

Does anyone know of a good civil surgeon in San Francisco? The first one I called told me it would be $500. How much should I expect to pay?
Thank you.

It is US territory but does anyone know of any problems in visiting Guam while waiting for the AOS? You do go through customs.
Thank you.

A. Adjustment Applicant -- ( c ) ( 9 ). File your EAD application with a copy of the receipt notice or other evidence that your Form I-485, Application forPermanent Residence or Adjust Status, is pending. You may file Form I-765 together with your Form I-485.
Not sure how much closer a description of your situation you are looking for...

Hello
I am new here and very sorry if this has been posted before... but I cannot seem to find the answer...
I am British and arrived in the US on a Visa Waiver. WHile here I spontaneously got married to my boyfriend. I am pretty confident that I know which forms to file to adjust status, but I also want to file the I-765 as we cannot survive on one salary while waiting.
My question is; am I eligible for the I-765? And if so what should I write for question 16 which asks for my eligibilty category, none of them seem to apply to me.
Many many thanks for you help
Karen
