I recieved our NOA2 apporved on Tuesday the 8th it was approved on the 4th but according to the USCIS website it is still pending has never been updated . I guess it does not matter because I have the hard copy I-797 here in my file book.

We are still waiting on our NOA2 and are hopeful that will happen soon. I want to go and be with my fiancée at the interview even though I can not go in it will give her morale support to know I am close by. I am wonder how much time to they give you when they notify you of your interview. Is it days, weeks or months? It will be hard to request a vacation, apply for visa and purchase plane tickets on a moment notice.

You might want to call the embassy first and make sure you'll be allowed into the interview. In the Thailand thread they mentioned that starting in March they no longer allow anyone into the interview.

I heard if you are not aloud in, go anyways. Just give her your passport and it will show you are there in support of her. You are so lucky to get approved now. I am a November filer also and Hope I will get my NOA2 in 135 days also. That will put it on April 1st!

My Fiancee's job will require her to sign a 1 year work contract on March of 2008. We have already recieved our NOA1 on November 23rd 2007 so look to possiblely getting out interview in August or September of 08. My question is once the visa is granted will she have a time frame to depart her country?

I have a question about what kind of back ground search is done on both of us. My reason is that I got married when I was 17 and devorced before I as 21 I have not seen or heard from my former wife since I was 20 and I do not know what state or city she moved to and filed the divorce papers. I checked her home town with no luck! I could not after a year of searching locate her , so we went ahead and filed hoping that it would not be looked at that closely. If they do ask for it what should I do? Does anyone know what actually happens to our paperwork after it is mailed in?
