Finally got my wife´s NOA1 in the mail today, receipt date of Nov. 15th...

Sent it out on the 10th, not bad considering there was a holiday and a weekend in the meantime

Now its time to wait for the Biometrics appointment

Time for some more good news on the forum- the wife's 2 year green card was finally ordered for production today. Thanks to everyone here for the help and support and good luck to all- lets hope there's some more approvals soon.

I logged in to USCIS this morning and found the same good news- EAD and AP finally approved after 70 days. Now comes the hard part- my wife has to find a job in New York City...

Just say no.

My wife had the medical exam/interview in CDJ back in February and she said they didnt even ask her so chances are the question might not even come up. If they do ask him about it and he says no it would be physically impossible to prove he is lying. Saying you did drugs at any point is one of the surefire ways to get denied, especially at that embassy.

Good luck in Juarez and remember just say NO.

My wife's I-485 had been transferred to CSC on September 22nd.

But today, USCIS website says...

We thought that we would go through easy road.

Same thing happened to us. We had a bunch of touches and then the website status changed to the same as what you have.

Same here, after touches on Friday, Monday and Tuesday...No changes on EAD or AP though, still showing 9/18.

My wife's case says the same thing when I checked... it got transferred to CSC last week but apparently they felt it wasnt clear enough? Is there a specific reason? Does every person who has this status get an interview? Needless to say its kind of annoying- not really looking forward to gathering all the paperwork again or about going to Garden City, Long Island.

Most K-1 are proccessed at the CSC, but I've seen that if something is unclear they send back the case to the local office fo the interview. I guess it's a matter of pure luck.

Hold on a minute. My wife's case was touched on 30 September saying that it was being "transferred to another USCIS office to speed up processing." The hard copy i got in the mail confirmed this was the USCIS office in Laguna Nigel, CA. Six days later on 06 October the AOS was touched again and said it was "transferred and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office." Wouldn't that USCIS office mentioned in the touch on 06 October just refer to the office in Laguna Nigel? It seems like the time between the original transfer notice and the touch saying its "pending" is just the time it takes for the case to be transferred 2000 miles out to CSC, be officially received, and once again become "pending", just at the CSC instead of the NBC. If it were being transferred back to my local office (New York) I would have been informed of the transfer and given the address to where my case was sent just like I was informed when it was transferred to CSC.

Also, what are the odds that 4 people reading this thread in a matter of hours all had their cases sent from CSC back to their local office when it is supposed to be so rare? As of now theres no reason to believe that our cases were transferred back to the local office until the USCIS explicitly informs us of such. Anyway, congrats on all the EAD/GC approvals and lets hope to see some more soon.

Same thing happened to us. We had a bunch of touches and then the website status changed to the same as what you have.

Same here, after touches on Friday, Monday and Tuesday...No changes on EAD or AP though, still showing 9/18.

My wife's case says the same thing when I checked... it got transferred to CSC last week but apparently they felt it wasnt clear enough? Is there a specific reason? Does every person who has this status get an interview? Needless to say its kind of annoying- not really looking forward to gathering all the paperwork again or about going to Garden City, Long Island.

hello everyone....i checked my case status and it says it was transfered to CSC last oct 1but i didnt get any email from CRIS and still waiting for the letter in the mail....

i wonder why i didnt get any email...

My wife's case got transferred on September 30th and still no CRIS email or regular mail either. I guess it takes them a while to catch up... typical USCIS. Anyway congrats to all on approvals and transfers and lets hope the good news continues.

USCIS too efficient

Just a little ironic twist in the AOS process... My wife and I worked feverishly to get the AOS application packet filed before Labor Day but it looks like we worked a little too fast- we got our biometrics appointment right in the middle of when our honeymoon was scheduled. So this September 23rd instead of being on the sandy beaches of florida we will be in a biometrics office in Queens. Goes to show that it dosent always pay to be a hard worker...

If your fiance in Mexico has a computer with internet access you can also use MSN messenger, yahoo messenger, or any of those other messenger services to talk for free.

In the beginning, my husband and I would talk with calling cards, but then he got internet access in his house and it was much better. I am not kidding, we would talk for hours at a time using a headset. We even had webcams so we would see each other. The longest we ever talked on there was about 8 hours, nonstop AND I AM NOT KIDDING!!!

Any of you can use this method to communicate as long as you both have computers with internet access. The headsets you can buy for $15 at any office store. We used MSN messenger and it worked great!

yea...using the internets cheap thats for sure but i cant sit in front of pc that long and she works all day in front of one too so she wont either. damn..eight hours.. your butt musta gone numb ucla.

If your international sweetheart has high speed internet, try using a VOIP phone line (Vonage). Between Vonage and its many competitors you can find plans for 10-20 bucks per month that have really low international calling rates and unlimited incoming calls. Ive been using it to talk with my fiancee in Mexico and we talk for hours every day for free. The company we use is voipvoip.com. We save hundreds of dollars per month, and lets be honest, who wants to give telmex more money?

Also in regard to meeting in the Ciudad Juarez International Airport, they have an inspection after baggage claim so the only place to meet is in the main lobby/hall area where the ticket counters are.

My husband and I are going to have a big religious ceremony in Mexico this summer (we just had a quick civil ceremony here in the U.S.) So we are looking at honeymoon destinations in Mexico. We really wanted to go to Cancun, but its hurricane season during August, so we are trying to decide where to go.

Do any of you recommend any nice beaches?

I agree Puerto Vallarta is probably your best bet if you want to stay away from the Yucatan. I used to live in Jalisco and I went to Puerto Vallarta many times and can say that the "Romantic Zone" just south of downtown is really cool with a lot of quaint little bars and restaurants and still close to all the nightclubs on the Malecón. It really feels more like Mexico than the high rise/resort part of the city. The beach on this stretch is also really nice. Just remember to get a hotel with good air conditioning becuase it can be oppressively hot in the summer. If you wanna go a little more exotic there are places like Punta de Mita and Sayulita like an hour north of Vallarta and the beaches there are phenomenal.

On another note, I just got back from CDJ a few days ago and posted a review of my consulate experience so dont hesitate to ask any questions- i would be glad to help anyone who still has to do the interview.

hello, im a mexican fiance (i'm a girl) and I haven't get my vaccines since I was 11 years old!! do I have to show at the medical examination in Ciudad Juarez, my vaccine's register...cause I don't have any! so if I go to IMSS they'll know which ones I need and will they give me some kind of document to prove I got my vaccines? will this work out fine for the medical examination?

My fiancee just did the medical exam last week and she said for the K1 visa you dont need any proof of vaccinations. All you need to bring for the K1 medical exam is your appointment letter, passport, and of course like 1700 pesos. The vaccines are for the K3 and CR1 visas.
