  1. I must admit I am a little confused. You said your husband came here last february on a K1. Your getting pretty late for filing for adjustment of status aren't you? I have also read about others who didnt file the paperwork immediately but it seems like your kinda pushing the envelope lol. I would definitely check into the details, I know your husband may be accumulating illegal time within the united states and I think there is some significance to 180 days of illegal time. Hawaii is a state so I dont believe you have to pass customs, but the whole thing seems strange to me. I think we need more info to answer your questions.

  2. Ok I think you are feeling anxious and not really checking all the facts. Your timeline says your case should be adjudicated between Feb. 28 and March 16, also check some other similar timelines and you will see what I mean. So really your not behind schedule at all. Almost everyone has trouble with the online system so I wouldnt even sweat that until after the average processing times have passed. We made it through this whole process with almost all the same problems as everyone else or more. You are getting involved with a huge Govt. Dept. that is all red tape, so have patience. No one there really cares good or bad about you personally. Alright enough of my 2 cents ha

  3. I don't think you have too much to worry about. The police report is standard, and required by all applicants. We recieved similar instructions, except needing a report from UK. Sometimes these reports can take a long time to get, (we waited almost 3 months to get one) and I think thats why the embassy wants to make sure you are aware of the requirement. That was a frustrating hurdle for us, as our lawyer never advised us we needed it, and we only found out on our own at a very late date. Good luck to you.

  4. yeah, I think you will need the report. We just waited from Jan. until this week for a police report from UK because she lived there. I spoke with a consul in Bucuresti and it definitely is needed. We have been waiting from July 2007 so your not the only one who's had to wait a really long time. If you have a co-sponsor I dont think being unemployed is a real problem. Good Luck to you.

  5. If anyone has any info about gettting a police report from the UK by a foreign citizen(Romania) who lived there for a 2 year span I would greatly appreciate it. My fiancee needs to obtain one for her K1 interview. I'm familiar with the subject access request form(164) but having trouble finding the requirements for a non resident of the UK. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

  6. Yes, yours definitely got lost in the mail, we recived ours yesterday and the embassy could not have recieved it earlier than Jan. 1 so something definitely happened. I would contact the embassy again, and see if they will send another packet. It seems they are somewhat personalized and though you could download the forms you might not get everything you really truly need to know. Good Luck.

  7. Congratulations to JesNSteph! Unfortunately, we were not issued a visa. We were told to gather more evidence and then set up another interview. Needless to say, we are very upset and concerned. Good luck to everyone else.

Hello, I'm a new VJ poster so please be kind lol. Im sure I speak for more people on here when I ask if you could enlighten us on some more of the details surrounding your case. After looking through alot of profiles it seems that not too many are denied. Did the consular officer specify what types of documents for further evidence they would like to see? What types of things did you include with your original I-129f petition? Obviously waitng for 7-9 months only to be refused the visa is everyones nightmare, so any more info you could provide would be appreciated thanks.
