  1. As long as we are getting so excited about approvals getting near after these transfers, I want to start getting ready for the next step. I guess that approval means that all the paper work was accepted, what would be our next move???

I did call a friend that works for Homeland Security and (no help what so ever if thinking about inside help), and she said that because I am retired and collecting Social Security, that I would have to do lots of paperwork and affidavits with lawyers.

Anyone out there that can help me understand what would I need so I can start getting ready???

Maybe there is a thread or something in this site explaining paperwork etc for retired husbands trying for wife's visa.

  2. Chet:

You've said a mouth full. I worked all my life in a pharmaceutical company where everything is clean and very organized or else we are in trouble, but these people are so unorganized, lazy, and stealing taxpayer's money sitting around doing nothing. I don't see why if a person meets all the required criteria, just approve it and go to the next case. I feel that all these people working with this project are incompetent to do the job.

  3. Before I filed for my wife I went to the immigration office to ask questions of how to do things and was told that it will take about a year to get an approval if everything was fine. But by reading in the forum I we got excited because there were people being approved in less than a year. Well, I don't know if these people are telling the truth but looks like it is going to be a year for us which are December filers. I share the frustration with all of you and more so because we are an elderly couple and have just a few years to share our happiness together.

  4. I am confused regarding follow up things after receiving the NOA1 (I-797C, Notice of Action). The only thing my foreign wife and I want is for her to come to the USA to visit and meet my family. There are no other relatives of her pursuing entrance with her. Just her and only to visit for now. Perhaps we may decide to move to the USA in the future but not in our agenda for the next 3-5 years.

In the Step-by-Step Guide on How to File for a K-3 Visa for your Foreign Spouse it shows to send a I-129F package with cover letter, etc once receiving the NOA1. Do I have to do this package knowing is just for my wife and no children or any other relatives involved?

If I do have to prepare this package, what should be included since there is no other relative involved.

Any information helping me will be highly appreciated.

  5. Just checking all my December peers... Are there anyone left that hasn't been approved? It's good that this group is getting smaller and smaller, but I sure feel lonely waiting for my petition.....

How is it that more and more people filed in 2008 are getting approved faster than those filed in 2007? I am totally lost......

Nothing here. Just one lonely touch in February.

  6. Tnaks YuanDan for your reply but we filed in December 2007 and all we have to show for is one touch. We sent affidavits of wedding witnesses, marriage certs and all the required things such ad birth certs etc. We did not send pics but could do so. All we want to do is mail more evidence to Immigration to add to our file. Steps on how to do this is what we want to know. I guess interview is very far away for us at this time.

  7. Hi to all:

I would like to send more evidence of my marriage to add to my file. My evidence is a document showing that my wife and I have purchased a property together. This is one of the evidences that Immigration asks for, but when I filed I did not have the papers yet. I would like to know the steps of doing this so I can add the document to my file.

Thanks in advance to all of you.
