No news on our case either, it shows a touch on Sat but that's about it. We have to keep waiting I guess. Has anyone else gotten any approvals today from CSC????

Congratulations to all the recently approved !!! As of Friday morning our case finally got a touch. I am hoping to hear something soon.

As you all may know by now the site is down and can't check any status. Looks like the rest of the July filers should get approved by end of next week.

Nothing with our case either, no touches it seems like most of the recent (past few days) approvals have come out of the Vermont center. I hope CSC gets back on track soon.

You do not need 3 years of income tax returns unless you are self

employed, or unless your foreign fiance(e) is applying for the visa at

one of the consulates that has a local policy of requiring 3 years of

But still the form itself does not state you need 3 years history..

Now that I'm looking at this I may hold off on sending the i-134 until I can get my records. as I said, too much information can't hurt.

That reads to me that it does say you need the 3 years if you are self-employed.

Yes that is how it reads.. But that information was posted by someone answering a question from someone else asking where in the I-134 does it say you need 3 years of tax returns. Apparently he read it somewhere as well..

The point I was making is that I'm not sure where anyone ever got that information as the I-134 does not say it needs that much information and apparently has not requested that much information since before 2003.

Unless someone has a copy of the i-134 frrom before 2003 we can only assume that at one point 3 years of returns was a requirement in the I-134 from previous years. Or as this person also stated, one of the consulates that has a local policy of requiring 3 years of

tax returns. It could also be that someone went to an interview with less that 3 years of tax returns and was told to come back once you have more information and that person then wrote a guide and it has been in the mythos for what is needed for the 134 ever since.. We honestly dont know..

You know what I wonder on this site???? Are we somewhat prejudice about where some are from? Not trying to get any drama started... just curioius.... I've noticed that some can post here and get many responses and others.... none. Even an awknowledgement.... Just curious.....

Me again.... and maybe I'm just a little sensitive to the subject but.... I often wonder why some don't update their profiles.... my guess would be that's it's not necessarily that they abandoned their profile but maybe abandoned the site because the haven't exactly felt accepted and/or responded to. Just a thought..... I dunno, just wondering here....

Not to worry, so far most everyone is friendly and helpful. I am new to this site and so far so good. Lets just keep everyone informed of our case progress and share any experience that may help others in dealing with their cases. I am keeping my fingers crossed hopefully we hear some good news soon!!!

Hey there. Now that we are approved and Rama is getting his police report and immun record while awaiting his packets....I have a question. I am getting a letter from my employer and notorizing the I-134 to send to him by DHL. Is that all that I need to submit with the I-134? I have read that paystubs and tax returns are not necessary at this step, but rather when we apply for status change after he gets to the US God Willing. Does this sound about right to you all? Thanks!

149 days and after the first touch I got the petition approval too. For some reason I'm not overjoyed. I'm very grateful I didn't get a RFE, but at the same time I think 149 days is way, way, way too long for this.

I just should not sit here and complain because I know some of us did get a RFE and have a 1-2 week delay and even more stress. I think about these folks and really feel for them because I felt there was a decent chance I'd get a RFE as well.

What also struck me was how accurate the VJ predicted date was. I was predicted to be as 'early,' as December 11, so it was only 12 days earlier than the prediction.

Still....I've waited for almost 5 MONTHS, so here is my happy dance.

I just received an email notification of an RFE!!! I tried to call and it says to speak to a representative. I guess I will try in the morning. I am so sick about this.

That sucks. Don't worry though. It will hopefully be something stupid that they lost, so you will just be delayed 1-2 weeks and will be approved instantly after sending back the RFE.

Was touched today in the morning. Went to work this evening. Got home at 1030pm. Checked USCIS. And approved!!

We got an RFE on the 31st of Oct. They were requesting a translated copy of my fiancee's birth certificate. Something we could have given them at the outset had we known they would decide they needed it.

Is your fiancee the petitioner or the beneficiary?

She is the beneficiary.

Question, had you included her BC (not translated) when you sent in the original package??? Or was it they asked for it out right??

The reason I ask is that in the instructions there is no mention of the Fiance's BC to begin with.

Congratulations to all of the July approvals. Looks we all are very anxious to get our NOA2 soon We are waiting patiently as well. Are there any rime or reasons on petition processing in CSC? Some applications are getting approved much faster than the others. Please add our time lines to your data sheet as well. Hopefully we'll be hearing something soon.
