Greetings fam. Any new IL to anyone here? Seen the Sept statistics for Kenya...CR1 6, IR1 24. Any expedited case here? Just trying to make sense of the CR1 and the whole process really.

In one and a half months time I'll be DQ'd for 12 months....doesn't feel like the 14 months timeline is realistic right now.

From DQ to IL 18 months as of current.  It's a tedious process but hang in there. I almost gave up on mine but after almost 3 yrs wait time we finally seen the light.

Thank you.  Just to note, this is cr5 case, only the mother is attending interview.  The children are all grown married living there lives and not planning to relocateto the USA. It's just that she had to bring certificates for all of her children. Can an affidavit work?

Additional info. The mother has 6 children. 2nd born is in usa(petitioner). The problem lies with the last born and 2nd to last born. 2nd to last born dob 1981. Last born dob 1983. Last born birth certificate is showing correct dates. 2nd to last born, instead of showing 1981, it reads 1983. So both have same year dob. 2nd to last born location unknown ( over 10 years)

Hi my siblings got an interview letter on the 28th of this month. Now we need to schedule medical how do we go around this?

that's why it's been hard to rectify mistake.

  3. I have a friend who's stuck and needs help.

She's petitioning for her mother. Her mom has 6 children and she's required to carry all her children's birth certificates to the interview.  One of her child's certificate has a wrong date of birth and it's too late to change. (Interview in 3 days, certificate rectification takes minimum 10 days) the rest are ok. I need advice to pass along. Thank you. She's Kenyan. So Interview in Nairobi Kenya.

Another crazy update: My husband has been called back to embassy, the lady was very vague on the phone per my husband he tried to figure it out but she mentioned something about " we forgot to do something" and when he said please elaborate she said "the oath."

He did do oath during interview but when the CO saw that our ds260 was missing our son he said some ####### about your oath is not technically right, so I am hoping now that we updated ds260 they just want to redo oath then we will get approved. Please pray for us, this emotional distress is really starting to affect my mental health. I will update once he has his appt tomorrow.

He's approved. The oath says it. Good luck.

Hey everyone! I was hoping to have great news, but my husband had his interview yesterday and he answered everything the officer was kind and said everything looks good. Then went for the refused form and my husbands heart sank, so when he inquired why, the officer said you need to update the Ds260 to include your son. I am so confused by all this as Ds260 is locked and cannot edit, but the officer told him I opened it for your edit it and then we will see it. My husband asked if he will need another interview but the officer said no nothing like that just update the ds260 to include your son and we will reevaluate. So now we are in refused category, everyone is telling me since they kept his passport its a great sign and especially since they did not request any documents to be sent. Most people are confident we will get issued within the week, but as of now I feel heartbroken and confused. May Allah make this easy for me. Keep me in your prayers!

I'm sorry for this. This human beings calling themselves interview officer, do they not know people have families and miss them? First you wait for years and then the day comes one guy behind a window denies you. Keep heart.

    Thanks.

I had the save issue the first time op wrote this implying nairobi embassy was working dew to the numbers he/she presented.

Say myself and four other employees are tasked to review files. Four of us review 100 files a day each. The 5th employee reviews 5 files a day. Yes He/she did work to review those 5 files but you @crazy cat took those numbers and went to the boss and presented them saying "see, he reviewed five files. He is working"

    We all know he's not.

    Nairobi embassy is not WORKING

Hey folks! I have been following along! I am also on a fb group and people are saying they are working on cases DQ January 2022 not sure if that is accurate. I hope so bc I was DQd feb 2022

Whats the Facebook page? I also have a DQ date of Feb 2022. Let me know soon as you get your IL. I'll reciprocate

Good luck! We never tried the expedition request - so definitely curious to hear if that works 🤞

My plan is to just tweet them daily (either as comments to tweets on their page or just by tagging them in any relevant tweets/replies). I had an old account I hadn't used since 2016, so I just deleted any old posts and repurposed as an immigration account lol. It probably won't do anything, but I figure it can't hurt to at least leave a paper trail calling attention to how terrible slow they're moving.

Also: I did see one tweet saying that the latest interview conducted were people DQ'ed Jan 4-6th 2022. If that's accurate, that would suggest the current backlog is ~13.5 months... I guess we'll see. If that's right, then @Eduh should be hearing within the next month?

I really hope so. I'm getting tired of this anxiety of new email notifications daily hoping it's from NVC. I'll definitely update here as soon as I get IL. 12.5 months and counting.  🤨🫤☹️

Ok, I must apologize to you. I let my frustrations get the best of me.

Still those numbers are way to low for a consulate that takes care of it's host country (Kenya) plus other neighboring countries.

How does an embassy issue out ONLY 2 CR1( spouse) in a whole month. You have hundreds DQd per month but issue only 2? Please make it make sense. Then you wonder why I'm frustrated 😠?

The Consulate at Nairobi is working

    Visas Issued Nairobi

    Dec 2022
    CR1- 2
    IR-1- 26
    IR-2- 17
    IR-5- 16

There's a 40 thousand plus backlog of cases in nairobi. You think those numbers you posted are even scratching the surface? Nairobi embassy is not working my friend. Once you see numbers upwards of 300 per case type then that's working. Barely. 500+ per month minimum per month requirement

Sounds like there is a long queue at NVC for the Kenya consulate.   It seems you have had RFEs during the USCIS part of the process.

Yes I did have RFEs (3) which is a lot but that's for NVC. But after a case has been DQd, more so an immediate family case, one shouldn't have to wait a whole year plus just to get an interview.  These are our families, spouses, children we miss them
