  1. thanks guys.

it was transferred already, we just called them today because dfa requires me to get a philippine passport, the office now is in gen maxilom avenue former mango avenue geez i have to research for it yet. lol

  2. I think its their new policy for this year due to a new machine readable passports, once a spouse is married to a foreigner, she should get a cfo otherwise the passport will not be released, I just knew it yesterday when I renew my passport to my husband name, I will be going to cebu or manila before 31st this month though

  3. Children don't need G325a forms. What IS needed is covered in the I-130 instructions. I suggest all concerned study them carefully and act accordingly.

thank you for the reply so that means we only need I 130? yes my eldest daughter is not an USC yet, thats why I am confused if we needed to have a separate form (I 130 and G325) to fill up for her.

  4. Hello to my VJ family:)

This topic is for you guys and gals who are currently with their partners in the US. But all other thoughts are welcome as well:)

I am currently on my fourth month of being in a LDR with my husband in CA :( He came in the Philippines to see me last Christmas and stayed 'til the New Year... and once again *sighs* left for the United States :(

Our visa application is still being processed and I know it will be 7-9 more months ( or less God willing) before I will be with him...

I know I'm getting really sentimental right now. I really miss my hubby...:(

Our communication is by constant phone, email and chat. We also send each other photos. I guess what I miss most from everything is his physical presence and the (we're all mature individuals here) the intimacy :(

I just wanted to know how did you guys have kept the love alive within the months you've not been together. How did you survive the long-distance relationship before being finally with your husband/wife/fiancee/fiance/boyfriend/girlfriend?

I hope you can share your stories. Thanks so much.

    Cheers.

Id been struggling the loneliness I felt being away with him, sometimes I go to church and pray and I spent my time with my kids... But really its really hard, good for you, you are already started the process to get there, us were still planning haist..

  5. Another thing....

Scenario is, if you would drop off the CRBA packet at the USEM (or let Air21 pick it up, whichever you prefer) you'll receive a call from them telling you of your appointment date. Call could be as early as two days upon submission of the packet or like in my case, it took them 5 days ... BUT, be reminded that interviews won't be sooner than you expect, mine was scheduled 15 working days apart.... but still, if you'll have the interview in time when your husband will be here (w/c is much better), bringing an unsigned affidavit is okay too, let the CO do the rest.

Let's hear it from the others. :)

thanks po, i think we are getting it right now, I hope lol

  6. My husband is getting the papers done for the CRBA of our youngest daughter so we can submit those requirement ahead of time, at least before he would arrive here for vacation and perhaps to set the appointment on the day he arrived. My daughter was out of wedlock when she was born though she already used her father's family name in the birth certificate. She was already one year old when I and her father got married.

Now here are the questions as we were so confused of the affidavit of Parentage, Physical Presence and Support document, on page 3 it is about the Part II of the documents. It says all applicants with a child/children born out of wedlock. Below of that document said Part II of this document must be signed before a consular or other authorized individual at the time the oath is sworn.

    Now my questions

does the statement above is referring to a consular officer here in the Philippines or in the states?

Does it mean that he have to do the sworn during the interview and fill and signed the form there?

If that is so, could we submit the requirements before his arrival on summer and set an appointment through phone call?

But if we have no choice maybe we have to do it, dropped the papers when he is here, how many months should we wait for the interview regarding the CRBA? or could we drop the papers and get the interview in two days?

    Thanks!

    Heres another question

if the consular officer should be from here, could we submit the documents without its signature yet and have it signed and fill it when he is here? wahh my questions are a bit confusing too, lol hope you all could still understand, haist!

  9. For the child of a US citizen.

The following information summarizes key provisions of U.S. law regarding the transmission of citizenship by a U.S. citizen parent or parents to their children born in wedlock outside the United States. (Please note that separate transmission requirements apply for children born outside of wedlock. Contact the U.S. Embassy/Consulate for further information if this is the case.)

If both parents were U.S. citizens when your child was born, he/she may have acquired U.S. citizenship at birth, if at least one parent resided in the USA prior to the child's birth. If your child was born on or after 11/14/86, and only one parent was a U.S. citizen at the time of the child's birth, the child may have acquired U.S. citizenship at birth if the U.S. citizen parent was physically present in the USA for periods totaling five years prior to the child's birth, at least two of which where after their 14th birthday.

If a child was adopted by an American citizen(s), or if the U.S. citizen parent has not met the physical presence requirement, then the child cannot be issued a Consular Report of Birth Abroad. Please refer to the Child Citizenship Act of 2000 for further information on how to document your child as an American Citizen.

    1. Child's official provincial birth record, showing complete information on the parents.

Note: Some posts can only accept an original Registration of Live Birth - bearing the impression seal of the Vital Statistics office. This record is kept on file with Vital Statistics and a certified photocopy bearing the impression seal of the office can be issued.

This document tells us whether there have been any amendments to the record. The child's certificate of birth is not always acceptable. Please refer to your "post specific" instructions when you receive your application forms, for acceptable birth record instructions.

    2. Evidence of Parent(s) U.S. Citizenship at the Time of the Child's Birth.U.S. Passport; Certificate of Citizenship/Naturalization; Consular Report of Birth Abroad; or a U.S. Birth Certificate bearing the impression seal of the Vital Records Office and the date of filing.

    3. Proof of parents' identity: Photo ID.

    4. Child's ID (i.e. a vaccination booklet or Medicaid card or other passport).

    5. Previous CRBAs for other children in the family

    6. Original civil marriage certificate of parents.

    7. Documentary evidence of termination of any previous marriages of either parent (i.e. divorce decree, death certificate, etc.), if applicable.

    8. In some cases the U.S. citizen parent may be asked to complete an Affidavit of Parentage and Physical Presence at the time of Application.

    9. Parents' Canadian Immigration Record, showing original entry date into Canada.

    10. Evidence of parent's physical presence in the U.S.

Some examples of evidence of physical presence may include accredited school and university; transcripts, employment records, utility bills, etc. Acceptance of this evidence will be at the discretion of the consular officer, and depending on the circumstances, the consular officer may ask for additional material.

    11. Complete Form DS-2029. Do not sign.

    12. Complete Application for a Social Security Number (Form SS-5-FS). Children 12 years of age and older must appear in person with the parent signing.

    13. If you wish to apply for the child's passport, the child must appear in person with the parents signing. Submit two color photographs. The photos must be recent (taken within the past six months), identical, 2 inches x 2 inches; Full face, on a plain, light (white or off-white) background. Vending machine photographs are not acceptable. You will also need to complete the appropriate passport application form

thank you so much for the complete information, so in case we would submit a I 130 for me and for my eldest daughter we will not filly up any form for my youngest daughter right? we just apply the CRBA and the us passport and she could automatically go with us when we get approved. Thanks again
