  1. Hi everyone! I am planning to go home to the Philippines after I get my Green Card. My name in my Philippine Passport is still my single name and it will expire on May 2009. By the time that I come back from the Philippines I'd probably still be using my old passport. The question is, will there be a problem if my name on my Philippine passport is not the same as that on my Green Card because that would be my married name? Or I'll just bring with me my Marriage Certificate? Please help. Thank you.

  2. For a woman like me who has been so active in the Philippines, having a good life and having the comfort of my own place, waiting for a work permit and a green card is making me impatient. I know the EAD will come first and maybe I could finally work soon but don't blame me if I say that I still have a lot of adjusting to do considering the sad weather here in Seattle and so on and so forth. I wish my husband will get me a new place away from his family. I'm used to living alone for the past decade and now here I am in a controlled place. It sucks!

And now my question is, how long is the processing of the EAD based on your experience? Thanks!

    Waiting in Vain...

  3. hi there, if you filed for the I485 you are able to apply for the EAD (work permit) it takes about 3 month to get it. you can also apply for a AP (advance Parole) form so you can leave the US while waiting for the Green card. usually if you file for I485 you send everything together out.

Hi there! Thanks a lot! But you see I want to go home after i get the Green Card and not during the processing of the Green Card, so do i still need to apply for an AP?
