Hi, I'm new at this and I read my NOA2 and it says to wait 3 months for NVC to contact with further details and instructions. Where do those bills and forms and affidavits come from? So I basically sit still, read over the James' shortcuts, and wait 3 months for NVC to mail me more bills? This is a huge delay in the process....

You don't need to wait 3 months. Within 2 weeks NVC will assign the case# for you. To me, it happened in 4 days. Keep reading... All your forms and bills will come from NVC !

me and my wife started receiving stuff a month later. basically wat the NVC does is guide you through everything. even if there is something messing they will send you a paper that says messing decuments. so be patient u will see

I finaly got an answer from the national visa center after i shipped packet 3. i am woundering aren't they suppose to send it to the montreal embassy?but the later came from the national visa center. did anyone go through this? well anyways i recieved a latter stating that "messing decuments and they said police certificate and original merriage certificate. . I thought your only suppose to have the police certificate when you go to the interview not the national visa center? whats going on does anyone know? the RCMP said is gonna take like 5 months or something i don"t know i pray not.........cuz then it would almost a year and something months of waiting.

Unless you have a criminal record, just get the name check done. Depending on where you live, it could be the Commissionaires, the RCMP or the local city police. Check for your area. You can get your police clearance certificate while you wait. The document should confirm that your history was verified through CPIC (Canadian Police Information Centre). If you have a criminal record, along with any court documents you must bring to your interview, you need to have a fingerprinting check done. This would be where your lengthy wait time would come in.

yo yeah thanx for your information ...... we just received the police certificate.. I am mailing it in with the merriage certificate becuase thats what the NVC requested for messing decuments. I think were just waiting for the interview now. anyways thanx alot i am suprised it did not take long probably a month but i am happy ..

also my husband has a U.S passport and I have a green card(I'm getting ready to file for lifting conditions) we and I'm taking with me my U.S drivers licence, my romanian ID and copie of the marriage licence. that's enough....right...hope so

hello i am not sure if i can really help you ...but alot of times when booking a flight is best if you try booking a month or 2 weeks in advance. i live in michigan the best website I found for my mom ....she wanted to go to africa was http://www.vayama.com/ and go from there. other wise and the names part I think you should always wanna use the name that matches all the decuments that your gonna carry. hope that helps

hello folks!? i have sent in package 3 sense october is it still to early to get package 4 from montreal embassy. how can I check if the embassy even got my papers yet? or how long does it take ..? i checked the embassy website it says 40 day i think it has been more then 40 days.?

wow i actually almost went through the same thing.. i would say call an attoreny first. becuase i think is easier to do most of the information while he is here. is better then him going back. i live in lansing michigan and i was in a similar case. except my wife is canadian. we didn't know you could do all the stuff while she is there but instead she went back home i applied for a k 1 visa and i am still waiting for interview and all the other stuff too. but i think is only gonna take him 6 months if he files averything while his here and not live the country. but i don know about his country rules but thats what they told me about my wife they said we could of got her averything while she was already here but now is diffrent. hope this helps.

I have mailed in these forms to the national visa center what happens now. I hear i am going to receiver package 3 how long does it take to get that does anyone know.? i have mailed in DS-230 parts 1-2 and affidavit or support and some check stubs... birth cerfticate..etc..? please take your time and reading I know is a lot.
