Re: UStraveldocs reconfirming appointment. We had the exact same issue. It's very odd. We seem to be able to put our address in for the return of the passport but we are not able to confirm the appointment through the instructions they provided. We are going to contact the embassy via e-mail to confirm just to be safe.

We didn't register anything for the appointment.  I think thats for other use?  The interview letter is already the appointment.  I just saw somewhere said after the interview we need to login an account to confirm the address

I called and talked to the stuff, according to her, we only have to be sure to attend the interview according to the NVC interview appointment letter. Thats what she said

But I register and updated my mailing address anyway, just to be safe. If there is any news or information, please let us know🙏🏻

I'm not exactly sure how the priority works but perhaps you are correct. Thank you! Wishing you the best of luck as well.

Thats very lucky! We DQed two months before you and also interview on june 28th!  Good luck to our hubbies😉 we booked the body check on june 10th, fyi

Also, have you registered and reconfirm interview date on ustravelsocs yet?
I was trying to do so as the instruction said, but i got stuck at the schedule interview date page.

It says”there is currently no available time slot for interview appointment” I am confused, our interview has already been scheduled right?

@bite2019 Very exciting that your hubby received the interview date! When is the interview scheduled for?  My hubby was DQ'd April 4th (IR1) and we are really hoping it speeds up now that HK is opening up a bit. Congratulations to you! You are almost there!

Our dq date is just a week apart, mine got dq on 26 Mar 2022😂 its very close

we should keep each other informed then since our situation is the most similar

Hey there! What does DQ mean? The status for my wife is that everything is with NVC. Since the HK consulate just opened April 4, do you have any idea on the queue? We last heard back from NVC in January saying they received our application, had questions, we answered them and everything is with them now. That being said when I check the "status checker" it says I was supposed to email them the documents? So confused!

Finally found this website so need to dig. Any help would be great!!!

Dq means document qualified. We can only get a rough idea of the wait time of the queue from other members report. Hope we are get interview letter soon

yes..i am expecting to leave since 2 years ago, and now all my fds go to UK i am still in HK....

Ha… 🙈 we are in a very similar situation then. My fds and some of my family members moved to the UK as well. But I prefer the US over the UK, its more inline with my lifestyle and opportunities. Its worth the wait

I am on the same boat as you two. It is extremely frustrating since NVC depend on the embassy to advise available slots for interview before they would move our cases forward after DQ.

Right :( we can only wait

i just got my dq last week tho. My guess of why they are stopping the process for visa interviews appointment is because of the covid cases surging up in Feb. Hopefully when it clams down the consulate will open for appointment again at the late April. Just guessing

Two questions for those of you who have had experience at the Hong Kong embassy:

    1. How long from DQ to interview (typically) in recent months?

    2. It looks like the Hong Kong embassy has temporarily stopped non-emergency via interviews since February 25, 2022, does anyone have any insight on this or how long the backlog will be when it re-opens?

    Thanks so much in advance!

Hello, we are waiting for news about the suspension of visa interviews as well. Unfortunately they dont even let the people know why they decided to stop the interview appointment in anyway.
Lets just pay attention to any news and hope for the best.
