  1. What kind of parole are you talking about? For an expedited visa for him to enter the US, or for you to go to your fiancee's country? I'm not understanding you.

My american fiance(american guy) is in the US and has an epilepsy, and I am in Israel. He asked for Humanitarian Parole for me to enter the US because of his extreme medical situation. The official information about Humanitarian Parole is here.

Will it work for us ?

    Thanks.

  2. Hello people,

I opened before Topic like "How to get K-1 urgently? My fiancee is in hospital.Help!"We are in extreme situation now.We were waiting for K-1 visa and even did not get NOA -1 .But my fiancee has an epilepsy and suffers from general siezures which last time are accompanied by dangerous injuries. Two months ago he got to emergency room .it is getting worse.he needs somebody to watch him 24/7.We made ourselves the request for Humanitarian Parole for me with a letter from a doctors about his situation. Is it enough to get this parole?I was told that it's very difficult to get this visa.Mostly they say "no":-(But we still hope and wait. :help:

  3. I think your chances for getting an expedite are very good under these circumstances. We got our K-1 interview at the consulate moved up by 2 months because of an emergent medical situation where it was helpful for Marlene to be with me.

Dear john_and _marlene ,can you tell me please how it's possible to get an expedite at the consulate ?Maybe do I have a chance to get my visa here in israeli consulate,if I get from his this medical conclusion and cover letter that he needs me and only me and plus all our proofs that we lived here together ?

  4. Yeah, July and no NOA1 yet??? Sorry to say, maybe he lost interest.

You said he was staying at family's house, even if everything is true, USCIS will consider that he has family alive and can help him. Plus he is poor, will he even make the poverty cut for salary anyway? I hope he has good medical insurance because this type of problem could lead into 10's of thousands of dollars. I think your odds for expedite are almost zero, but it doesn't hurt to try. You will definately need the help of him or someone in his family with a Power of Attorney to give this a shot. Sorry to sound negative, but there are a lot of sad stories on VJs every day and sometimes things look hopeful and sometimes they don't. Sometimes they sound true and sometimes they leave doubts. I perfer to look at life realistically. There are enough other people in the forum that will give emotional support and cheerleading. Good luck in whatever happens in your life.

Actually he is staying temporary at the house of an old woman which knew his father long time ago, just because it's forbidden for him to be alone. He has no family there, just very old parents ,and they live in California and can't help him,but his father signed for him like a co-sponsor.The problem is that my fiance was absent in America during 17 years,he was living in Israel, the last 2 years together with me.We decided to start our new life together in America and he left there first to settle and later to bring me there by K-1 visa.Ofcourse,we did not know that it takes so long time...:-(Now I see that we did a big mistake. But anyway we could not marry in Israel because they don't have civil marriages here, only religious, and I am not jewish to do that, plus I was married those time and I got my divorce only on May 2007.Now my fiance told me that a doctors write for him a paper on 10 pages with MRI and information that it's forbidden for him to be alone. They want to insert there that he needs there me and only me.Everybody were sorry about us in this hospital:-(When he was with me he had a seizures too,but not with so terrible damages. Can all these facts help us to expedite?

I am worrying about our NOA-1,it seems we really did not get it,I read at the russian wive's forum that people are waiting for their NOA-1 for a long time too:-(It seems USCIS is overloaded:-(Is it a chance to start expediting without getting NOA-1?

Anyway,I think that epilepsy is enough serious problem to look like a reason for expediting.Thank to all for your advises:-)

  5. People you all are so nice, thank you.We don't have any attorney,we do everything ourselves. My bf filed the documents at July, and at September 20 he had an appointment and he invited a lawyer only for this one day. After the conversation they told him that he gets a case number in a two weeks.Until this moment he did not get nothing. It seems so strange.I am waiting for the next week when he will find out smth about the expediting.Unfortunatelly I can't use the visa waiver program from Israel, because it is not for russian citizens.I am desperated here.

  6. Thank you guys!Actually I can't get a tourist visa because I am temporary in Israel,I am russian citizen.I am til 16 January 2008,and I have no idea if it will prolong or no.So american embassy for sure won't give me a tourist visa because my intention to stay there is evidence.:-((Plus we both ,me and my bf,are poor people. My boyfriend even can't speak now, because his face is fixed. He is absolutelly alone, nobody to help. All what we have is our love.Maybe to write to president of USA? :crying:

  7. Hello guys!My boyfriend is in Colorado,I am in Israel,we are waiting for K-1 visa, but just only at the start(did not get NOA-1even).But my boyfriend has a problem-he suffers from epilepsy.So,1 week ago he had an attack of epilepsy and fell down and broke his face completelly and was in emergency room in hospital. He told me that he got a paper from doctors that he can't be alone and he needs somebody to take care of him.Now he left a hospital and stays temporary at his old realtive's house just not to be alone. What can we do in this situation?I can't get a tourist visa to America now because I am temporary in Israel. So,how to ask them me to get my K-1 visa right now, urgently? We both want me to come to take care of my fiancee immediatelly. He can get an attack every next moment. We were living together here in Israel 2 last years before he left to US.Please help!!
