    Any luck @asmacan ?

Since it's been 30 days I talked to them via chat and the agent put a Service Request for a Tier 2 representative to call me. Alas, I am out of the US so they will contact my Attorney in the US instead.

    Same thing as the others:

"Please allow up to 30 calendar days to receive a response by phone or email. You will receive a text message and/or email 1 to 2 business days before we contact you. If by phone, callbacks will begin at 7am local. To verify the return call is coming from USCIS, the number on your caller id will be 202-838-2104.  Please write down the following service item number and have it available for verification when we call you. Your service item number is * * * * * * * *."

Does anybody have any clue what happens during these calls? (maybe @rianno or @qwopqwop?) It's astounding they cannot locate our cases (and receipt numbers) after this long and that their answer now is to wait longer for yet another call (I've also have had several calls with agents as of now).

    Sigh

    Unfortunately not

Hey @asmacan I have the very same timeline:

(My initial application was in the first half of November (around Nov 8-10) and the documents were reflected in the DoS waiver website in March 24, and the NOS on March 29)

DoS sent FR to USCIS: on May 25th

Received hardcopy of letter sent to USCIS with FR: May 31st (sent on May 25th)

Now I've been calling/chatting(beyond Emma) with USCIS. They have not been able to locate case number. As stated here by other people, this is unlikely to be successful before the 1 month mark after the FR is sent.

Please let me know when you are successful getting the case number from the USCIS (either via chat or by getting their letter), and when you get the Waiver approval.

I'll post here that too in case it's helpful.

Sure wiil do , i don't have case number yet though

I sent my documents on December 28th, they seemed as received on March 28th. Even though my embassy sent them my NoS a couple times (March 10th and April 14th), and I got a reply from DoS that they received it but they said that I need to wait for it to be uploaded (it has been almost 6 weeks after this reply). I don't know what I should do. There are friends who sent their docs in March, and all seems received in 1 month including the NoS. Or they sent in February and they got their recommendation letter.

I approached to a senator caseworker, she said that she didn't hear back from Waiver division, once she got a response she would let me know (3 weeks). I need to start my job in June, this is really insane. I'm frustrated guys. Sorry for the bad mood, but why is this happening to some of us?

i sent documents at November 12 th , all my paperworks uploaded at March 23th , waiting for decision since, i know August applicant waiting for decision, so frustrating

Your employer can begin H1B preliminary steps with the Department of Labor (DOL) which include obtaining a "prevailing wage" determination, and submitting a Labor Condition Application (LCA). These preliminary steps take 3-4 months, and do not need waiver.

thanks, i will ask them for this, do you think there is a way to expedite this process

    Hi,

If the employer is willing to provide required documents, is it recommendable to appear for an H1-B interview while still waiting for the waiver? My waiver application is currently shown as received in the DoS system, will certainly require a few months to process, but the employer is initiating the H1-B process now.

    Thank you.

This is good news for you, i have no information about it, can you give a little detail for starting H1-B process without getting formal J1-waiver

? i may ask to my program also about it, thank you

No it was only the first package sent in mid November. I was seriously considering sending another package.

By the way, do you (or anyone) know if congressman can help in expediting the process? My visa expires in May 2022. From some of the previous posts, the department of state seems to have specific standards for `humanitarian needs'.

i have no idea, will defineteley ask for their help although do not have faith on it, my visa also expires at June,

fingers crossed for everyone, it seems like another 4-5 months is waiting for favor of recommendation if it that was the case

Did you email the 212e helpline for a response? You'll likely get two auto-replies and then a reply from a person either that day or in a few days.

as you said , i got a couple of auto-replies and then semi-auto replies, i believe they answer the same email just changing the words, it was said they don;t have my documents, no status update, that means the application package at St-Louis since November 2021

nothing else come to my mind, when i inquired by congresswoman and senator office they got the same reply

Did you check about the money order by sending an email to : helpdeskaccounting-st.louis@usps.gov?

Thanks for your advise, i will ask them

i also learnt recently that my embassy sent the NOS to Waiver review division at Washington DC

Shouldn't it be sent to St-Louis , MO?

Does anybody have any experience like this

Do you know where did your embassy send your No Objection Statement?

    Thanks

  9. NOS was sent at December 6th, but I'm not able to confirm that money order was checked out because of USPS system, money order check can be done for a certain time and i was not ware of it during those time

still getting this " “ Currently, there is no information regarding the status of your case. If you would like additional information, please contact Public Inquiries at 212ewaiver@state.gov" sign, frustration and anxiety grows, considering sending a second package but also afraid of that this will mess up everything

Does anybody send a second package for J1 waiver with same number?

    Hi Group,
Has anyone extended their J-1 visa after applying for J-1 waiver? I am planning to extend my visa given the J-1 waiver is taking forever.
My concern is that I will have to send the updated DS forms to DoS and that might take additional time. Can anyone please share their experience?

    Thank you!

i have the same issue, my program start at July and  even not able to waive J1, send my document at November 23, probably will wait forever

I dont know what to do
