Eli the Barrowboy -- How long has your house been for sale? My husband lives in Gloucester and his bungalow has been for sale for 2-1/2 months with just one showing. Sucky!!! Unfortunately the UK market is following the market here in the states.

I sent my AOS fee money order to NVC today but I was in a hurry and just realized that I didn't sign it. made it payable to Department of State and put my case number on it and sent away with fee slip. Is it a problem I didn't sign it?
-
My husband has a certified copy of his birth certificate - will NVC accept this? I am confused if certified and original are the same or not. Also, does he send his police certificate to NVC or is that only needed at the interview?
-
When I send in my I-1864 to NVC with my supporting documents can I send copies of my bank statements or do they need originals? I don't get a paper statement from my bank, just an online one that I print out.
Thanks

What about when your I-130 has been approved and it is at NVC? Mine arrived there two weeks ago and my husband is coming here for a vist in 2 weeks. He came here before and had no problems. Is it more of an issue to visit when your I-130 has been approved?

hey AJS - i'm just coming to the end of my CR1 visa journey check out my timeline by using the link at the side of this post. we got married feb 2007, sent off out first lot of forms march 2007 and i just had my interview now and am approved, pending medical results. so all in all it was a year of waiting for us. hope you can get some idea of the timescales by looking at our timeline. good luck with getting your interview soon.
emma.
Can I ask why your case was at NVC for six months? Also, from the time your case was completed at NVC, how long did you have to wait for your interview?
Thanks!

There doesn't seem to be many UK people doing the IR1/CR1 visa. I am in the middle of the process and just curious to know what the average time is between NOA2 and interview in London? I have been waiting 8 months already and am getting impatient.
NOA2 March 4th
NVC NVC case # generated March 17th

it's so wrong
they should be deported and made go through the proper process and wait like the rest of us

Couldn't agree with you more! This is the reason the immigration process takes so long for those of us who do it correctly, because of illegal immigrants. I hate illegals.

After the approval of the I-130, what is the average amount of time it takes CSC to send your case to NVC?
Thanks

My husband got in on the VWP. He told the POE that he was visting family. At that time, our I-130 was still pending but the visa never came up when he was speaking to the officer. He had tons of proof of ties back home but was never asked for it.

I didn't wait 8 month like you guys did but I did wait just over 7 months. I contacted 2 senators and my congressman and three weeks after that I had an approval. They were all very helpful to me. They contacted USCIS directly and I believe that made USCIS actually doing something with my case. I was getting the same like to call back every 30 days, which was just unacceptable to me.

I got approved yesterday!! CSC received my I-130 on July 27th with a receipt date of August 10th. Yippy! It's been a long 215 days waiting for my NOA2.
-
I just received my approval on my I-130 yesterday. CSC received it July 27th so I waited about 215 days or so. I understand how you feel. I called and did an RFE a week and a half ago because my address had changed but it still wasn't updating in their system. The rep told me she would send my case to an adjuticator and I didn't beleive her. But, sure enough she did and I got my approval. Keep bugging them and do the RFE trick.

I was browsing this website...found that processing time between NOA1 and NOA2 for I -130 is 50 days at Vermont service center.Do you think ppl who received NOA1 should get NOA2 around that time.
But in processing times at VSC on uscis page is 8/19/07 as of feb 15 ,08 :
Where did you see that time betwen NOA1 and NOA2 is 50 days? Maybe that was years ago, but I would expect it to take about 6 months. As USCIS says, they are working on 8/19 at VSC - that is no where near 50 days.

Forgive me if this has been asked a million times, but I thought I read somewhere that you can file as married and file separately. Then where it asks for your spouse's SSN you can put Non Resident Alien and you don't have to bother with doing the W7 or ITIN?

Anyone who files I-130 in Jan 08 got thier NOA2 yet?
Anyone have any idea how long would that take since USCIS is current with wveeeryhting else?
Thanks
Are you kidding? I filed in July and I am still waiting.

My husband is from England and he came here for a visit in January for 3 weeks. I was beyond stressed that the immigration officer would send him back, but they didn't! All they asked was what is reason for visiting the USA was and he said to visit family, which is not a lie. They did ask to see his return ticket and that was it. The visa didn't even come up. He was completely prepared and had a letter from his employer, mortgage statements, utility bills, but never had to show it.

Why would my own country make this so hard for me? Why is it that if you fall in love with someone from another country they make you pay such a price?
Well said, I couldn't agree with you more! Our lives are on hold and it is the worst feeling in the world knowing there is nothing you can do about it.

I am getting more and more depressed as every day goes by and I have no approval. CSC received my I-130 on July 27th and I have had no touches, no nothing. Even when I call it does not generate a touch. I even contacted my senators and congressman and have not heard from them. I am getting beyond frustrated when I see people who filed the same time I did and got their approval a month ago, or even people who filed after me get their approval. The receipt date on my I-130 is August 10, so does this make me an August filer? Just curious to know who else is in the same boat as me so I don't feel so alone.

Take a look at my timeline, maybe this will give you guys and idea of what is happening with petitions...Filed at california service center.
I have the same exact timeline as you. I have no approval yet and case not even with an adjuticator.
-
199 days and counting and nothing, nada, zip.
My timeline is similar to yours. I have had nothing, no touches, not with an adjuticator yet, nothing.
-
I also have not received anything from USCIS. They received my I-130 on July 27th and I have no touches, no nothin. I called all last week and they told me anywhere from 30 to 60 days I should get an approval. Too long for me so I will be contacting my local congressman tomorrow morning.

Good news on your 'touch'! I'm motivated to re-register at the USCIS site and see if I have a touch . It wont let me log in anymore. I check status there but see nothing. Is there more info logging in?
I actually just re-registered at USCIS site because I was unable to log on as well. But, it still says the same thing. No new touches since November even though I have called about 8 times since then.

CSC received my I-130 on July 27th and I have had no activity. Every time I call they tell me to wait 30 more days, blah, blah, blah. Very frustrating when I see people who filed after me get approvals. I have not had even one touch on my case, even when I call it doesn't show up as a touch on their system.

What stage are you at? He is worthless and will do nothing but take your money and delay your case. Have you paid him in full? I am sorry you hired him.
