  1. ATTENTION ALL VISA APPLICANTS!!!!!

    ..

If any of you are looking for a K1 or K3 visa attorney to help you with any forms etc, do not use the lawyer Calvin Knickerbocker of Sagaria law. I hired him as my visa lawyer and payed him $500, and he never completed my visa I had to do it myself. So he took $500 for nothing and wont pay me even part of that money back.

OMG!!! I nearly fainted when I saw this thread. If he is the same Calvin Knickerbocker from Oregon then he IS the lawyer my fiance hired for our K1 visa. We have filed, I believe, last month September '08 so we are just in the first stage of the process. What should we do?!? : :(

What stage are you at? He is worthless and will do nothing but take your money and delay your case. Have you paid him in full? I am sorry you hired him.

  2. Eli the Barrowboy -- How long has your house been for sale? My husband lives in Gloucester and his bungalow has been for sale for 2-1/2 months with just one showing. Sucky!!! Unfortunately the UK market is following the market here in the states.

  3. hey AJS - i'm just coming to the end of my CR1 visa journey :) check out my timeline by using the link at the side of this post. we got married feb 2007, sent off out first lot of forms march 2007 and i just had my interview now and am approved, pending medical results. so all in all it was a year of waiting for us. hope you can get some idea of the timescales by looking at our timeline. good luck with getting your interview soon.

    emma.

Can I ask why your case was at NVC for six months? Also, from the time your case was completed at NVC, how long did you have to wait for your interview?

    Thanks!

  4. There doesn't seem to be many UK people doing the IR1/CR1 visa. I am in the middle of the process and just curious to know what the average time is between NOA2 and interview in London? I have been waiting 8 months already and am getting impatient.

    NOA2 March 4th

NVC NVC case # generated March 17th

  5. I didn't wait 8 month like you guys did but I did wait just over 7 months. I contacted 2 senators and my congressman and three weeks after that I had an approval. They were all very helpful to me. They contacted USCIS directly and I believe that made USCIS actually doing something with my case. I was getting the same like to call back every 30 days, which was just unacceptable to me.

  6. I just received my approval on my I-130 yesterday. CSC received it July 27th so I waited about 215 days or so. I understand how you feel. I called and did an RFE a week and a half ago because my address had changed but it still wasn't updating in their system. The rep told me she would send my case to an adjuticator and I didn't beleive her. But, sure enough she did and I got my approval. Keep bugging them and do the RFE trick.

  7. I was browsing this website...found that processing time between NOA1 and NOA2 for I -130 is 50 days at Vermont service center.Do you think ppl who received NOA1 should get NOA2 around that time.

But in processing times at VSC on uscis page is 8/19/07 as of feb 15 ,08 :blink: : :crying:

Where did you see that time betwen NOA1 and NOA2 is 50 days? Maybe that was years ago, but I would expect it to take about 6 months. As USCIS says, they are working on 8/19 at VSC - that is no where near 50 days.

  8. My husband is from England and he came here for a visit in January for 3 weeks. I was beyond stressed that the immigration officer would send him back, but they didn't! All they asked was what is reason for visiting the USA was and he said to visit family, which is not a lie. They did ask to see his return ticket and that was it. The visa didn't even come up. He was completely prepared and had a letter from his employer, mortgage statements, utility bills, but never had to show it.

  9. I am getting more and more depressed as every day goes by and I have no approval. CSC received my I-130 on July 27th and I have had no touches, no nothing. Even when I call it does not generate a touch. I even contacted my senators and congressman and have not heard from them. I am getting beyond frustrated when I see people who filed the same time I did and got their approval a month ago, or even people who filed after me get their approval. The receipt date on my I-130 is August 10, so does this make me an August filer? Just curious to know who else is in the same boat as me so I don't feel so alone.

  10. I also have not received anything from USCIS. They received my I-130 on July 27th and I have no touches, no nothin. I called all last week and they told me anywhere from 30 to 60 days I should get an approval. Too long for me so I will be contacting my local congressman tomorrow morning.

Good news on your 'touch'! I'm motivated to re-register at the USCIS site and see if I have a touch . It wont let me log in anymore. I check status there but see nothing. Is there more info logging in?

I actually just re-registered at USCIS site because I was unable to log on as well. But, it still says the same thing. No new touches since November even though I have called about 8 times since then.

  12. CSC received my I-130 on July 27th and I have had no activity. Every time I call they tell me to wait 30 more days, blah, blah, blah. Very frustrating when I see people who filed after me get approvals. I have not had even one touch on my case, even when I call it doesn't show up as a touch on their system.
