  1. Congrats but wow! 3 months!!! I wonder where they got the wrong address from in the first place if you'ver NEVER wrote it down wrong anywhere to begin with.

The only thing I'm thankful for is.. Lucky that the wrong address they have on the Visa Data Summary sheet did not existed.

If it did, I was told by USCIS that I am going to have to pay to re-apply my wife's Resident Card, even though it was their fault..

    That there upsets me!!

And it can take 6 - 12 months for the new green card to arrive..

So lucky that address didn't existed, cause all they had to do is wait for mail to return to them so they can send it to the right address and this took 3 months of process..

Please to avoid delay.. I strongly recommend to call them..

For Visa = USEM or NVC

    For GC = USCIS

  2. I also had the problem with that Immigration Data Sheet thing but all was solved and the guy from USEM actually told me that..that Immigration Data Sheet "doesn't matter at all, what important is what is written in the VISA printed on your passport". I was told because I was asking to correct all of those wrong aliases they put, and the guy at USEM was assuring me that there will be no problem whatever was written in the Aliases section. I hope that will not be a future problem once I got to POE and GC process.

    Congrats anyway!!!!!! :star::star::star:

    and thanks for sharing :)

Just wanted to let you know..

When me and my wife saw the wrong address on the Visa Data Summary Sheet we immediately called USEM the next day and we were told the same.. No hassle, No problem..

It is true.. You will get to America Safe with no problem..

But the green card doesn't have to do anything with what USEM say..

The Green Card is handled by the USCIS.. The incompetent part is, they don't follow your answer on the DS-230..

They followed the one on the Visa Data Summary Sheet..

Here is my thoughts to you..

As soon as you get to America, keep calling USCIS to ask if they have received you Visa Data Summary Packet. If they did ask to update the address immediately.

  3. We finally received my wife's green card...

It took nearly 3 months!! So disappointed with USCIS..

On the DS-230 they asked you a question on where do you want the green card to be delivered and my wife answered that correctly with our correct address.

On the Visa Data Summary sheet our address was wrong.. So we called the US Embassy Manila and they said its going to be fine, no hassle.

Upon POE we told the POE officer also that the Address is wrong on the Visa Data Summary sheet, she took the correct address and entered it on her computer.

After a month and still no welcome letter and of course no green card. We called USCIS and they told us, they have sent the Welcome letter to the address provided and I asked them what address was that and they told me the wrong address..

So incompetent.. I had to argue my wife's case stating why ask the question on the DS-230 if their not even going follow it.

Well the bottom line is this fairy tale story has finally ended and we finally got my wife's green card..

Thank You all for all your help... This was a great forum to share my journey..

And to others out there.. Have a safe and successful Journey..

Visa Journey has been part of my life and so as this Philippines Section...

  5. after waiting 63 days of payment for her docs to make it back to the USEM.. after a phone call to Grace last week.. she confirmed they had made it back last monday..

What is really bothering me is I see several filipinas getting their visa withing 3 or 4 weeks of payment and sometimes less then a week of the interview.

I called Grace again this morning since they have had a entire week to review and to see if they have finally approved and printed and have forward to delbros.

Well.. Grace tells me it's still under review and can't give me no time line of when the CO will be finished.

I am told will just have to wait and it may be a while longer.

I am so sick of the BS.

why does it only take some just a few weeks to process... my frustration has finally hit the roof.

WoW!! Grace sounded the same on our case..

    Just wait.. wait.. and wait...

  6. I will be in the Davao are in mid June.

Does anyone on this board have motorcycle or motorbike for sale in the area.

I enjoy riding around PI and using it as my form of transportation.

Must be in good working condition.

    Thanks

Moto Scooter are so popular in the Philippines right now.. You can easily get one once you get to Philippines..

    Honda XRM

    Honda Wave

    Yamaha X1

    Yamaha Sniper

    etc...

    Or you mean big bikes?

  7. Hey Shai

Were from NY too.. We just flew last month from the Philippines to NY, my wife, me and my 2yrs old daughter. Well I don't know if you can relate to our experience since we have a toddler which is actually harder, cause their use to being outdoors and you gotta cheer them up play with them so they don't get bored.

Our flight is similar to yours.. On our part we had to stop @ South Korea (Seoul Incheon)

So here is my thoughts to you.. On Boeing 747 flights they offer crib for less than a year old babies. So as soon as you get on the plane you have to speak to a flight attendant and request for this.

Upon check in, tell the people at the check in desk to give you a seat where there is an attachment crib.

Also It is advisable to bring a stroller with you, due to the long walk @ the airports on connecting flights. They will take the stroller @ the gate of the plane, and they will return in to you when you get off including stop overs.

As for food.. You need to bring that with you on boarding the plane, no worries about water they provide it on the plane. Just bring the powder milk and the bottles..

Good Luck, if you have any concern or question you can always PM me.

  8. NVC sent a letter to my wife indicating there that i already have an MNL #. My queston is, when can i start doing doc verification in order to avoid delays of issuing the visa? Ive seen some post here that doc verification sent to delbros and delbros sending it to NSO takes almost a month and issuing the visa becomes delayed. Is it possible to do and finish doc verification before interview date comes?Like right now that i already know my MNL # from NVC, can i start doing it?So that when my interview date comes and pass it, i wont wait for my visa that long. Anyone, please advice. Thank you very much.

Also, can someone please post their experience regarding doc verification. Ive read a post.. a step on how to avoid delays in doc verification but i think it was deleted. Thanks again.

The question is Do you want to pay or not? :D

    Steps on how to AVOID!!

Sorry its not about how to avoid it.. Its a guide on how to pay properly to DELBROS to make sure they do their job right.

    Docs Verification is a random..

  9. I would like to ask those who just had their visa interview...Is the old passport (green one) still accepted by USEM? I heard from a friend that his fiancee's passport during the interview was scrutinized to the point that it was destroyed and was asked to get the new passport issued by DFA which is machine validated. My friend told me that someone in the embassy, i dont know if its a consul or what, doubted the passport of my friend's fiancee as the picture in our old passport is elevated, slightly raised or was just taped in the passport by DFA in security tape (if u notice it...). I would appreciate any replies. Thanks a lot.

If their having doubts with your passport, trust me.. they will investigate that.. Not you..

  10. Step by Step you ask?

Just click on the link swtrick posted.. It gives you the step by step procedure..

Time of the procedure may vary... It all depends on how busy they are @ the USEM and easy is your case.

Like with my daughter they were so busy it took 4 weeks to get an Interview, we even got a special day on a Saturday because it was so busy.

  11. Let me tell you.. My wife wants to go back to Philippines, she's homesick and missed her family so much..

She tells me, she's just here because of me and wants our family to be complete..

  12. I think you should consider a Co-Sponsor just in case...

Cause I had 3yrs of tax return 2004, 05, 06 all above the P-Line and my 07 was below the P-Line.

In my mind.. I thought they wouldn't ask about 07 since our interview was Feb and 06 was still counted as the latest ITR, since the deadline for filing 07 is not due yet till April.

But still the Pre-Screener and the CO still asked for a Co-Sponsor..

Thank God I prepared one and was ready...

  13. Its better to bring everything that you think will help you with the interview..

Or be sorry.. (Sana dinala ko na rin)

Since your an IR-CR applicant.. They don't ask too much and the interview just seems like a formality.. In my opinion!
