like I said in your other thread, siblings aren't derivatives on parents petitions. you have to file separatly for him and it takes more than 10 years.

he cannot overstay. your mother once she becomes a resident can file for him, but still, he needs to go through consular processing because children of LPR don't qualify either to adjust in country and the wait is around 3 years now.

Hi Guys. I had my interview on Friday. It was less than 10 minutes and painless. My IO was the best and we joked around for a while. He aplologized like 5 times for being late. I kept saying its ok and he kept apologizing. He told me before he took me into his office that the interview was going to be quick and I should promise not to laugh when its over. He was God sent to me.

He didnt ask to see anything except my green card, DL and passport. Now I have to wait for my oath letter in the mail. I am so happy that I'm getting closer to ending my relationship with immigration. Will keep everyone posted when I get my oath letter in the mail.

I received my IL today!! I have it on Jan. 8th 2010 at 2.45pm. I'm glad because I go home (Nigeria) for xmas and I thought I may have had to reschedule. I didnt get the yellow letter some got but I got a white document checklist (N-659) in the same envelope. I also got my flash cards that I ordered as well today. Good day today.

Thanks Karenros. I still had my touched today. My notice was mailed out on Nov.6 which was the same day I got the email that my case had been transferred to the local office.

No there were no touches until today. I want expecting the email this morning.

I received an email this morning that my case has been the sent to the local office for a standard interview!

Hi Guys,

I went in for my FP today which took less than 15minutes. My appt was at 3pm but I had just finished with a meeting close by around 1.50pm and thought I's try my luck. Well, the support center was empty!! I just filled out the one page paperwork, took my FPs, got my civics book and I was out of there by 2.20pm and I got there at 2.05pm.

I guess now its just to sit and wait for the interview letter and the yellow letter everyone keeps talking about.

I think it may be better not to have email notification or check your case status update. Just confuses most people including me.

I got my FP appt notice today. Its on the 29th October at 3 pm. But what I found interesting on it, it says if I'm unable to make that day, I can go every subsequent Wednesday at 3pm as long as I do it before 01/21/2010. Anyone ever had this on their appt?

Did any of you get ur biometrics appointment letter... according to the email and the updates they said they mailed it Oct 15.. Where is that piece of mail

Just recieved it in the mail for biometrics on 11-04-09. The letter is dated and postmarked 10-19-09.

I havent received mine yet but maybe I'll get it today. I was wondering the same thing too. I'll keep everyone posted.

From what I've been reading, you just get the fingerprinting appointment. I got the email this morning for an RFE as well. Mine said it was mailed on October 15th.

I just checked my email. I got an email at 2 AM this morning that a Request for Additional Evidence was sent on Oct 15.

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to let you guys know that I received my approval notice in the mail today. My application online says it hasnt been touched since the day after my biometrics on January 3rd and I didnt get any email and the application is still showing pending. Below is my timeline.

Sent I-751 to CSC

NOA1 - Nov 27, 2007 online but the notice itself said 10/15/07 eventhough I didnt submit until mid novemeber

Biometrics- Jan 2, 2008

NOA 2- March 12, 2008(Approval notice)

The strange thing is that my I-130 was never approved and it got approved Feb of this year. My I-130 was even toi\uched 03/09/08 and I was beginning to think they forgot about my current application. Anyways, I will just be waiting on the card itself. I hope this helps some people out.

Hi,

I am going to file my papers on the 11/07/07 and my current green card doesnt expire until 02/07/08. I'll be traveling back home in Dec and be back Dec 31st, so way before my green card expires. I know this may have been asked before but if I dont get my NOA before I leave, do I need to make an infopass to have my passport stamped or am I good with my current greencard since it doesnt expire until next yr Feb.
