Nine months ago I was walking down Spadina Ave. in Toronto, Ontario where I was traveling on vacation. My future fiance had just left her office and was walking towards me. We both happened to be going to the same jacket shop and after a few furtive glaces at each other while browsing the aisles, I took a deep breath and started a conversation with her as we were exiting the store. After 30 minutes of chatting on the sidewalk, we decided to go for coffee. After 2 hours over coffee we decided to get together that night. After a night at a dance club where we spent all night talking instead of dancing we went for more coffee (sidenote: I don't even like coffee. In fact, I hate it intensely but I would have drank anything to keep the night going) The rest of my trip was spent with her inlcuding some bonus time in Niagara Falls after I "missed" (wink wink) my flight. I proposed to her on the Spadina sidewalk in front of the store where we met and now here we are, in Visa purgatory.
