Why does the security check take so long if I have no criminal history. I’m waiting my decision since 2019

Hello friends.  My vawa case is out of normal processing time and under security check.    I have asked my lawyer many times for help but he keeps telling me to wait because they won't make a decision until my security check will be completed and there is no point in writing to the Vermont center.  Has anyone had the same situation?  And did the congressman actually help you?  I know that the congressman also will replies to me that my case is going to the security check and what is the solution in this case?  Has anyone helped the congressman to exceed the deadline?  I have been waiting for my decision for 36 months.  They never asked for additional evidence

Can I contact vawa unit hotline without my lawyer? Because my lawyer doesn’t want help me for send request . Can I do it myself? By email.

Im wandering.  I’m gonna start divorce , my vawa case still on pending since 2019. I have a boyfriend. We decided to get marriage. Can we ? If so .. when ? When I start divorce or when  my divorce will be done. 
The  process is very stressful and I don’t want think anymore for the person or situation around him. 
I started new life with my one and I have to leave everything in past what stressful life I had .  What Do I do? Can I close my case? I still don’t have my decision

A few. Submit out of normal processing time request. 

I sent by online, received update online account  that uscis  sent the response but I didn’t receive anything on my email. 

Hello. My vawa case out of processing time, uscis never asked RFE , got 4 PF. PD is 2019 . Is anybody waiting since 2019?

Make sure you have online USCIS portal account. Enable email or text notifications on your case. Lawfully app is fine as well. Congressional inquiry every 3 months is a good idea, sometimes they don't notify you of RFE or NOID. If you have been waiting more than 2 years, consider filing a mandamus if you can afford 4-5k. If you have a C9 EAD and AP, and don't want to rush USCIS that's understandable.

Security check and background check are basically the same thing. You give USCIS your biometrics (names, fingerprints, picture, and some other information like eye color, hair color, height, weight), they send those to the FBI that then checks in the system for hits.

In 99% of the cases you're just waiting for your info to pass through an FBI agent's desk who will then run the program on your stuff, get no hits, and click an OK button.

In rarer cases there might be a hold up because you're a partial match to someone else and they have to double check that you're not the criminal in question.

 

I do not believe you can hasten FBI on this one as this does kinda fall under matters of national security.

Why it takes long time .. if applicants hasn’t never had any criminal record in his/her life . Is it possible to make double check? And the reason why takes long time ?

I’m new here I don’t have lot of information about  for the case , I got the notification month and week  ago 😭😭😭 my lawyer doesn’t  know what it’s mean , he can’t answer me.. I hope someone gives me advice 🙏🙏 I got the  card produced and third day status changed . Help me please please please ( I sent my case 12/2019
