It took me a month to receive packet 3. I sent it right away and received interview date within a week. I called them a couple of times and each time they said that they had sent me the packet 3 but I still had to wait a while to receive it.
-
Thanks! I was worried because there is a question on DS-156 form if the applicant has ever been denied a visa and what type of visa. I'm relieved now.
-
They didn't tell me for sure why it was denied but I think its because I didn't show enough ties to my home country and they are very strict about that.I certainly hope I won't have any problems with that.
-
I was denied a tourist visa a year ago and I'm afraid that it might make some problems at K3 interview. Do I need to worry about that or not?
-
Can I download somewhere the forms and the checklist that the packet three contains? They sent me the packet 3 but its lost in the mail and I dont want to lose more time than I already have.

I don't think the congressman was any help in terms of expediting this, but they were a great moral support and gave me a better insight into this process. I highly recommend those waiting for their approvals contact your congressman, but don't have high expectations unless you have a genuine expedite criteria or are outside of processing times....
anyhow, i am besides myself now.....NVC here I come!!!!!!!!!!!!
I received this notice via e-mail today at 2 PM when I was least expecting it. It's amazing how life has ways to surprise you when you least expect it!

Also...I want to thank everyone here at VJ who gave me tremendous help and courage and shared their stories to make this journey more tolerable.
Big congrats!!! I'm glad that you got your approval!!!

Congrats!!!

First, we received a letter from VSC saying that the expedite request was denied because I-129F was approved earlier that morning. Then we called NVC and learned that both petitions were there. The day after, we received NOA2 for both petitions in the mail. However USCIS website still says pending.

My husband got the letter from senator saying that our applications are in the adjudication process and one week later we were approved! And today we received NOA2-s for both applications in the mail.

Thank you all, the reason why we want to follow K3 route is because CR1 route seems so complicated to us and we don't understand it completely, we don't want to go through all that trouble, we want this over as soon as possible. We don't care about the cost of AOS and all that. I'm so happy that this waiting is finally over, I'm guessing 2 more months for the interview which is ok because i'm going to stay here for new year's anyway.Thank u all I feel so relieved and so excited!

Thanks!!!My husband asked for expedite on I-129F and they sent us a letter saying that expedite request has been denied because I-129F was approved earlier in the morning. Then we called NVC and learned that both petitions were there. But we haven't received NOA2 hard copies nor emails.I think their system is still down.

My husband called NVC and talked to an officer and she said that both petitions are there and that I-129F will be sent to the embassy. Is there any other way to find out if I-129F has been sent to the embassy except for talking to an officer directly? When he typed the application number the message said that they have no record of that application but the officer said opposite.I'm so happy that my petitions were approved that I cannot think clearly! I'm so excited! YAY!!!

Thanks!

Both of our petitions were approved on november 10th.Can you please tell me how to check if I-129f is received by NVC?My husband called NVC number and chose option one for immigrant visas but when he typed I129f application number they said that they haven't received our case yet. However I-130 was received and case number was assigned.I know that everyone would advise me to go for I-130 but we really want to follow K3 so please tell me how to check if I129f has reached NVC.Thanks

november 10th cases approved but only I130 reached NVC what happened to I-129F?

Congrats Kennethea and good luck on the rest of the journey!

OMG I've just realized that it has been 300 days since we filed I-130!Had somebody told me when we filed that we would wait for so long I wouldn't have believed him! And here we are 10 months later still in the same position. I don't know about you guys but my patience is in the end.
-
January filer here and nothing yet!
-
I would also like to know that since we got an answer from senator office that our application is in the process of adjudication. When they say it's in the process of adjudication does that mean that it has been assigned to an officer?
-

How long does it take to get the actual green card in the mail after the approval? They say 60 days but i presume it's less?
