- how do you find out who is your congressman (in our case FL)

- what did you write and was he or she helpful? Did it help you?

i sent in all applications Feb 1st and only received one NOA for one of the applications when it should have been 3 NOAs.

I posted yesterday here that I sent in my AOS application (with applications for EAD and AP) but only got a NOA on the AOS application but not on the EAD or Ap one. I came here on a K1 and married my now husband within 90 days.

Anyways, we called the USCIS today and wanted to know why we only received one NOA for the Adjustment of Status but not for the EAD application and the AP application. They told us we would have to file an I-130 before the applications for those could be started?

I am lost ! Why do we suddenly need an I-130?? I thought we did everything right. filed for the K1, got the K1, married within 90 days and filed for AOS.

Anyone who knows?

I just filed from a K1 to AOS (after wedding of course). I mailed in together a package consisting of the I-485, I-131 (AP) and I-765 (EAD).

However, I only got a NOA1 for the I-485 today. Will I get NOAs for the other applications as well?

Also, the Receipt number starts with a MSC . What service center is that?

i was just wondering how you deal with the little or no vacation time given here in the US? I mean, in the US you only get 5 or 10 days max paid vacation.

In my country, you usually have about 30 days vacation per year .

Did you negotiate the vacation time? Is it better to negotiate in bigger corporations or smaller firms?

If you take unpaid vacation - do you get strange looks from everybody else , or even worse, did it prevent you from a promotion?

How do you visit your family with only that little vacation time?

I am so upset

My fiancée (German) came to the US with a K1 Visa which required us to marry within 90 days. Yesterday, on the 90th day we got married.As we forgot our license we had to be married without it.The marriage has to be filed within 10 days to make it legal.

As my fiancée would be required to return home for 4 weeks in January, the Advanced Parole necessary to leave the US would have to be expedited.

Therefore we have the following questions:

If we file the marriage and she leaves before the aos is done will that be an overstay?I guess so because she wouldnt have filed the aos yet.

if we dont file the marriage, whe will have overstayed her k1 visa by 5 days.

How consequences will an overstay of 5 days have?

Me and my fiance want to marry on a beach in Florida (preferably Anna Maria Island) next month. It is only the two of us, the big wedding will follow a year later.

Does anyone of you have experience with a beach wedding in Florida? Do you have any contacts and how much did it cost?

There are so many wedding coordinators and services out there but it is hard to find a good one.

For our K1 visa I need a criminal record from the Uk as I was a student there for 3 years. I have applied for a subject access form on June 5th and am still waiting. I called there also but they said it could take up to 40 days.

I had one processed 1 year ago and it only took 10 days so I am wondering what might be wrong...

does anybody have experience with criminal records from the uk ? What form did you send there? The subject access form?

How long did it take?

I have a question about the i 134 - question11: It asks if you do intend or if you do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the persone named in item 3 (the fiancee9

my boyfriend checked the little box at " I do not intend".

I am not sure if he should have checked the other box which states " I do intend" to make the affidavit valid.

Do you know anything about which box is right?

Also how long are the results from the doctoral appointment valid??

To whom does the check have to be adressed for the K1 Visa applicaton:

To Homeland Security or USCIS - i mean what exactly do i have to write on it??

Also could i pay with a money order as well? How does that work?
