Hi! I'm in the same situation (also Rio). Have you received the tracking?

We do not get to know when they send the case to the consulate after DQ. So, the only time I received news on the case after the DQ status (August) was on November as I told you. But, again, when I had gotten the DQ the consulate was closed to only reopen in November.

I am pretty sure it is faster now.

My case (actually my son's case) was approved by NVC and sent to Rio's consulate on August 21, 2021. We received the email with the interview date on November 23, 2021 (scheduled to december 16, 2021). But consider that the interviews were suspended until November 8, 2021. So, it seems like family-based visas are being prioritized.

My son's case also stood as Administrative Processing for a while before getting the 'issued' status also in February 9. Now, we are waiting to the email to pick-up the visa in Brasília (CASV).

My son is going through the same process (Rio de Janeiro Consulate). His interview was on December 16. They let him know he was approved and kept his passport. But there was a medical record that was only provided on January 11. Now, the status is "refused" and we are waiting for it to change. Can you please let me know if you have gotten your visa and how long it took?
