3 mos b4 it expires you have to apply to remove condition then you'll get a 10 yr GC Congratulations

is there anybody here who did not have the addtional shots for his medical here in the us and did not recieve a RFE yet ? just curious ....any ansswer will be so appreciated...
I didn't have any additional shots in the US and I didn't get an RFE I just sent my copy of the Medical I did when I went to get my K1 Visa

I got an email this morning stating that USCIS received the RFE info and that the case had resumed.
I just checked my mail when i got home and .....
Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.
YAY!!!
I am so glad to be done with immigration for the next couple of years!!!!

Peter received his green card in the mail today. WOO HOO!
Something sort of interesting...if you look VERY carefully on the back of it....there are pictures of all the U.S. presidents on it...I think that's what they are anyway. Along with his photo, thumbprint, a picture of the statue of liberty, the United States, and the seal of the Department of Homeland Security. Lots of other stuff and I can't quite make out what they are. SERIOUSLY security enhancing features I think. Just thought it was interesting!

Ours does. Your "DHS Authorization" is your EAD or Green Card. Now that you have your green card, I belive that you can go back to the SS office and have that removed if you want to??
Yea I read about it in a different forum. I just wanted to pass on the information.

Wow this thread got really exciting this past week! Congrats to all who've got AP/EAD/GC on the way... and stay patient and encouraged those who are still waiting! I have AP and EAD in hand, so the GC is less vital right now but it would be so nice to have it anyway so I can forget about USCIS for a while!
StoryAngel quick question does your Social Security Card have a notation on it stating: "Not Valid for Work without DHS Authorization"

THE2OFUS, i don't think the timeframes at the USCIS website for the NBC is correct..they posted April 1, 2008 for the ead's.They actually finished processing half of june already...hang in there keep checkin ur mailbox this week and nextweek. u'll get it soooooon!!!

HEY SO TODAY I WAS HOME AND I TOLD MY HUSBAND THAT I WOULD CHECK THE MAIL BECAUSE I HAVE BETTER LUCK THAN HIM. AND I DID HAVE BETTER LUCK. WE GOT THE EAD APPROVAL YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY THE DATE ON IT WAS 20TH OF AUGUST AND WE WERE TOUCHED ON THE 21ST AND 22ND OF AUGUST WOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO OMG SO GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU I AM POSITIVE THAT YOU GUYS WILL GET APPROVED GOOD LUCK TOOO ALLLLLLLLL AND ALSO WANTED TO ADD THAT I DIDN´T GET ANY EMAILS.

Strange, KJW does this mean its the Greencard they sent? As I received my Welcome to the United States of America approval letter already? Really weird.
hehehe...it's like THUNDER and LIGHTENING....first you see one and then you hear the other even if they happen at the same time
I bet they fixed or they are trying to fix their system and their backlog e-mails are getting out now

Question: Does your Social Security Card say: "Not Valid for Work without DHS Authorization" if it does when you get your Green Card you can go to the Social Security and have a replacement card with that notation removed. Here is a thread I found; hope it helps: Here

No touch on I-485 this week?
Don't sweat it I am guessing you got approved. I got the same two touches and was surprised that the same day the next week after the first touch I got a letter in the mail Welcome to the United States of America

All you guys that got two touches last week will get some sort of information from USCIS this week either an Approval or an RFE either way you are gonna know something just keep the faith. I got two touches last week nothing showed up on the USCIS website and I got an approval letter in the mail on Monday. Keep the faith.

Yeah i did read your post. Congratulations. Did you recieved a welcome letter (hard copy) already? I received Welcome letter as a new resident in the USA on August 18, 2008 from USCIS. Once again congratulations.
Yea I received the Hard copy in the mail today. It was such a surprise. As my Case Status Online never showed Approved. The status just changed last night to say Card Production Ordered.

Guys Really good news I just checked my mail today and got....... "Welcome to the United States of America" I checked the status online and nothing was there. Its still pending. It was approved since the 18th which was the first touch date. So you other guys that were touched twice most likely were approved too. Thank GOD...I feel so good.....

One Dumb question...They had send me a Letter requesting me to show up for an Appointment to take my biometrics for my EAD. The notice also states that if I don't show up the case will be Cancelled. Should I go to this Biometrics appointment just to make sure it causes no issues come 2 years time? Because aren't these files processed in the same location? They should know what was and what wasn't approved...
Well just got of the phone with USCIS they said that my production card was ordered today.

Great news! Congratulations! Since your AoS already was approved and card was ordered, you won't need your EAD card anymore. Also your AoS NOA was 06/24/08 and you got approved on 08/18/08, pretty fast there; you beat me
My NOA is June 12th, 08 and still waiting here. Hope your GC will come soon & good luck w/ everything! 
Thanks a lot August month has been a tough 1 for me my mom died on the 08/05 after being up here for 7 years and I only got to spend 4 days with her....But on the other hand i know she is watching over me and she is so happy now that I can better myself and I will definately make her proud. We gotta do that everyone...we get an opportunity that a lot of people that are here illegially want. Stick to your SO we all have went through a lot to get here make the best of this opportunity...
