So sorry you're in the boat with me *smile*. However, that does give some comfort. I was afraid that maybe they lost our file, but perhaps they really are that busy. i thought the same thing that they lost our file.but they are other filers in same situation. you should still put a service request to VSC and get the confirmation though.

we are in the same boat, we got our reciept dated on 5-28-10 but no bio appt yet. we put service request and they said your local ASC (which is DALLAS) is backed logged via email. we made info pass but they said the same thing.

i guess we have to wait.

filed i 751 on may 19th,2010 and recieved NOA(one year extension) on may 28th,2010. still no letter for biometrics and neither case is showing online.

is this normal or we should be concerned???

i am ready to send my i751. along with other proofs ( bank statements, credit card, utilities etc), should we send pictures of various trips together.

and how many pictures are enough and do we put pictures in separate envelope.

2) on part 5 , question 21, they are asking perons sponsoring on this affidavit and then they are asking if you are married put 1 for your spouse. does'nt this count twice as my wife is the one i am sponsoring, plz help

i am ready to file aos for my wife who came to us on k1 visa and i have few questions before filing.

1) she already has her vaccinations done prior to coming to usa and has copy of form 3025 with all the shots details, does she need i693a to file along aos????

2) does us citizen need to send g325a with aos papers or just foriegn alien need to send it.

3) can we file for advance parole even we don't have any plans to travel .

any help will be great

Hi,

I will be flying economic through Continental Airlines from India to Houston.

Am trying to find out how much baggage I can carry with me. On their website it says 50 lbs (23 kg). However someone who flew though Continental said he was allowed 43 kgs.

Am confused. Have they changed their specifications of baggage and weight? Though I will be calling Continental the very first thing tomorrow but in the meantime would like to see if anyone of you flew through Continental and how much you were allowed.

it is 50 lbs but you can pay flat usd 25 and take additional 20 pounds for each checked baggage.

check with the local continental office as it might have changed.

tip: when submitting paperwork at regional vfs, submit every single document in hand even if vfs is saying its enough proofs. they will try to get less weight for courier charges

so my fiancee is resubmitting the requested documents and passport to vfs, does anybody know how long new delhi embassy takes to give decision and issue visa.

my fiancee got 221g for her k1 visa. even sumbitting all relationship proofs ( emails, photos, phone bills,postmarked cards ), the american consular lady was not convinced. she was very rude and kept asking for more proofs.she also said how come your fiancee did not booked any wedding arrangemets in the usa, my fiancee told that we were not sure when the visa was going to be issued. gave her 221g and typed need additional proof of relationship including but not limited to emails, cards, letters. also asked for wedding arrangements proofs from usa.

i am so upset with this, plz help

Am sorry your fiancee got 221g. Nothing is lost yet. You need to submit *more* documents.

Do not submit each and every email..Just the email headers from you to her and from her to you( I would assume several hundreds of emails)

Print out all phone calls made to each other...

Photocopy the letters that you got from her(only the mailing address, not the content of the letter), and also ask your fiancee to photo copy letters she got from you..

Maybe get written letters from your family that this is a bonafide relationship.

Did you guys get formally engaged?

Add more evidence of *meeting* in person such as plane tickets, boarding passes, engagement receipts, purchase receipts, photos together, photos with family and so on...

Let the consular officer know that you are planning on getting married at the courthouse when your fiancee is in the US.

submitted everything to vfs, but they took only portion of it. engagement was formally done in presence of about 150 people in hotel, did showed bills etc, but consular lady kept saying need more,more................

What is the best way to send docs.. I was thinking via courier... My fiance needs the docs by next Wednesday. I will send it out on Saturday or Sunday.

ups i used it twice it only took 4 days to get to ludhiana. in rural places it might take it little longer, make sure you put phone numbers, if they can't find the address. it will cost around $ 56.

My petition is at NVC waiting to be dispatched to Delhi this week. Dont't wait for them to send packet-4 try to down load forms from Delhi site and get your DS-230 ASAP and submit it before 15 th so you may get January interview.

can we do that before embassy contact my fiancee. if yes do we have to drop it personally.
