My finance and I filed the k-1 finance visa in the United States. I know she may have some trouble visiting here, but I should have no problem going there right?

She is planning to visit me in feb for two concerts and in may for a wedding. Think she will have trouble getting here?

ok I got a paper stating they received my check and i-129f forms.

ok we just mailed our I-129F packet out this past tuesday.

I am going to visit her in canada for xmas but she is also coming here to New Jersey in february for a concert. I would just liek to know what are the best things to show at the border to prove we are not going to marry while shes here.

It woudl be a waste of money if she got turned away. Does it delay the process a long time too?

Only 2 consulates in Canada handle immigrant visas like K-1, Vancouver and Montreal, pick the one closest to where your fiancee lives, I believe Vancouver handles Alberta Province.

ok due to a post that was just made. It said the only american consulates that process K-1 visas are montreal and vancouver. I wrote Ottawa on mine. I've already mailed this out. IS there any way i can change it? Call someone or fax? and will this delay the processing time by a lot?

Nothing special needed for a US Citizen to visit Canada.

I just mailed out me and my fiance's K-1 visa papers!! a huge weight was lifted from my shoulders for a little bit.

She lives in canada. I am in new jersey and we plan to marry here.

I want to go stay with her for christmas for about 10days. I know she will have to hae certain paperwork if she comes here but do i have to have anything special?? Thanks.

when you go for the interview how many bank statements shoud my fiance bring?

also, is there a minimum in the bank account I must have in order to prove i can support her? thanks!

Rypoli..you are looking at anywhere from 6 to 9 months from filing to interview...it varies.

Also you may want to check out the Immigration Timeline for Canada/Vermont Center users on VJ to see how long it took them from start to finish to get an idea.

You can send in photo's of the two of you together, boarding passes, stamps in your passport, receipts from rental cars, etc etc.

Stuff like emails and text messages and phone bills, save for the interview. Some people do throw those in to the initial package but that doesn't prove that you have met in the last two years, that just shows an ongoing relationship...save it for the interview.

congratulations on your one year anniversary!! My finance and I are together 5 years in January!! We've been doing long distance since I was 16. I proposed in june. we are just getting all of this paperwork started because we want to marry hopefully sometime next year.

How many G-325A forms do we need to submit? She only sent me two of them signed but I know there are four pages total when you download the forms. IF we need more can i just photocopy two more? thanks!!!
