My green card was approved last week and I'm away in my home country. I travelled using the AP. Is your mother still in Italy or she's back. How did she get in?
I mailed it to her via UPS. Expensive, but reliable and track-able. Avoid the postal service.

I have an option for hand delivery, but it's not the most convenient.
If I sent through the mail I would probably send UPS or Fedex as I wouldn't trust the Italian post office either.

My mother-in-law has been out the country the past three months due to her mother passing away unexpectadely, and as such having to deal with all the issues that come with that. She had an advanced parole and was planning to travel this past summer for a wedding.
Last week her green card got approved and arrived in the mail; though previously USCIS said it wouldn't until at least the end of the year. Should I mail it to her abroad (western European country) or can she enter back in the US without it.
Surrender Green Card At Port of Entry

I have a relative with a green card who has been out of the US for nearly a year and due to changing circumstances no longer wants to reside in the US as her primary home. She would like to come visit for a month or two to spend time with my children, and would continue to do so in the future as well.
Is it advisable to fill out the I-407 form and abandon her green card at port of entry. The form says it can be done at an embassy, consular office, or port of entry; however the closest office in her country is over 6 hours away from where she lives. She is from a visa waiver program country, so she wouldn't need a tourist visa to visit the US.
Thanks
