Interesting observation. Wondering why so few ROC filers this month. Seems the past months had more.
Maybe we will get approved faster...I am hoping for all of us!
This is an interesting observation, but I am sure there are a lot of people, who are looking for company and are very anxious to see the statistics while waiting for visas, but are too busy or just don't feel the need to be posting and updating time lines once they get on with their married lives. That might be one of the reasons.
I like the idea of a faster approval though

Our check was cashed quickly too (1 or 2 days after the package arrived). I was able to see the case number on the check, but it hasn't showed up on the USCIS website yet.

Our interview went quite easy. It lasted for about 10-15 minutes, but the officer was very friendly and we enjoyed it.

We've just received the invitation to interview for December 9 in mail!! There's been no update on USCIS website since October though.

I have a question related to this topic: does the translation have to be certified in the U.S. or I could try to get a certified translation in Russia and use it?
I've still got about a week to do that before my honey and I fly home together

I'm sorry to hear about your situation.
It's pretty much useless to call Visa Support Center. I've heard that instead people tried calling the department that deals with the US citizens in case of emergency and it did help. Try contacting user applewow, I think she's been in a similar situation.

I agree that it's a wise idea to hold off calling (even though I couldn't help calling a couple of times
). E-mail worked better for us though, since NVC seems to reply when the case is received and it's less disappointing then hearing: "I'm sorry, we don't have your case."
I hope you hear from NVC sooner than you expect! The same goes to everyone else here.

We got an e-mail yesterday, saying that our petition was received by NVC. They are in the process of entering it into their computer system and assigning a case number.
Hope all of you hear from NVC soon. They've probably got all of our petitions already, but it takes time to get them out of the mail room.

We are in the same situation: approved on March, 21st, touched on March, 24th.
No news since then.
Last time I called NVC on Friday morning, because I heard from a couple, who was approved the same day, that their case had been received by the Consulate already.
Anyway, all we can do is just wait.

I spent just as much money to file a K1 visa. There is no good reason that I should be waiting on CSC laziness while people at the other center are enjoying being with their SO. If they decided to stop processing VSC until CSC caught up you would hear the screaming all acros the country. The excuse of I will soon be enjoying the rest of my life together is lame. I almost died not to long ago from an undetected medical condition. What if the "rest of my life" is 6 months. Why should I get only 2 months instead of 5 ?
I'm sorry to hear about your condition. I really hope everything will clear up soon and your health will become better!
However, I was not trying to make an excuse for CSC. I was talking about attitude. Obsession over unfairness of the process is not going to change the situation and is not going to help while waiting. It will just make you more and more frustrated.

Hi!
We were approved on March, 21st as well.
My fiance e-mailed NVC on April 1st. On April 4th, I called and talked to an officer. She was very nice, but said it takes from 2 to 4 weeks to recieve the case and suggested trying to call again on April 21st.
After that they sent a reply to our e-mail, saying they hadn't received our case yet.
It looks like there are a lot of us in the same boat again.

i actually have the opposite problem--i get his SMSs, he doesn't get mine. i have t-mobile as well.

Actually I've just found out that there people here, who use other phone companies and they have started experiencing the same problem with sending sms to t-mobile two days ago. Maybe you should consider calling your company?

In any case I prefer to be able to use the services I pay for.
