All the best to Beantownbabe, Akel and honeybear1 with their interviews this week!!!
Just wanted to let everyone know that my husband had his interview today at 10:45 and I received his phone call that he passed the interview
and will have the oath at 3PM today. He said the interview was 15 minutes. He had the same man that we had for the ROC who remembered my husband.
My husband was soooo excited when he called and could not remember all 6 questions but did say he was asked, "When was the Constitution written. How many Senators. Who are the Senators from NJ."
He was also asked if he had to serve our country would he and did he want to be a citizen.
I am a bit disappointed that I was unable to attend due to recent knee surgery but I am so happy this journey is finally over.
I hope and pray for all a very quick and positive end to your journey.
We could not have done any of this without Visa Journey. Thank you to all.

My interview was yesterday and all went well. I have been recommended for approval.
My 5 Questions were:
Date of the Declaration of Independance
Longest river
Who is the President
How long is the President in office
Who is the Speaker of the House
Good luck to all of you that have upcoming interviews

Congratulations!!!!
I passed my interview today. The IO was very professional and courteous.
First, I was asked to remain standing, raise my right hand, and swear to tell the truth. Then the interviewer asked me to sit down and show him my government issued photo ID, passport, and PR Card. We then proceeded to the civic test and I was asked these questions:
1. The idea of self government is in the first three words of the constitution. What are these words?
2. We elect a U.S representative for how many years?
3. The house of representative has how many voting members?
4. Who is the Chief Justice of the United States now?
5. Who is the "Father of our Country"?
6. Name one war fought byy the US in the 1900s?
Second, Writing and reading test? George Washington was the first President. Then she verified the information on my N-400 application and that was it
! She told me i had passed the interview!Goodluck everyone in your upcoming interviews.

Hi, did you get an electronic notification with that ?
I got the text notifying of being in line for scheduling about 3 days after the Bio.
Then the interview letter today.

I am wondering... Is it just me or there's not too many applicants that are in the timeline for ROC.
I seem to recall during the interview for K-1 Visa there was probably over 100 applicants in the timeline that month.
Then on the AOS, there was atleast 50 or more applicants that month.
Then now it looks like there will be no more than 25 applicants that month.
So there's about a 50% drop of applicants in each step of this journey.
Interesting observation. Wondering why so few ROC filers this month. Seems the past months had more.
Maybe we will get approved faster...I am hoping for all of us!

RE: tax transcripts. I don't remember where I read about them, but it was somewhere in the removing conditions forum. I found these two threads when I searched:

Regardless, for anyone who hasn't filed yet who wants to include them - I forgot that you can have them faxed to you! It takes about 10 minutes. We don't have a fax machine so I didn't do that.

Hi. I did not know you can get tax transcripts from the IRS. I have my package ready to go with a good amount of evidence but with only copy of our 2008 and 2009 tax returns.
Is this going to be a problem now?

I have our package ready to mail on the 18th and I also did not know we needed tax transcripts.
I just made copies of the tax forms and will send those.
I am planning to call IRS and get the transcripts in case of RFE.

Aos approved in Mt Laurel today. Easy interview.
As soon as we went into his office, he swore us in and asked for ID.
Very professional and before asking any questions
he said he had studied the file and was convinced it was bonafide.
He asked a few questions and said I will approve you today.
Green card will be in mail between 10 days and 1 month in the mail.

We received our interview letter today for 01/12/09. The website for the I 485 was never updated. Still says:
Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: Case received and pending.
On August 29, 2008, we received this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case.
Last touch was after biometrics.
Still havent received EAD in the mail. Three separate times email updated saying it was approved with 3 separate dates. I think the uscis is getting crazier and crazier.
Congats to all those that received their EAD, AP and interview letters.
Hoping all others will receive theirs very very soon.

My fiance has a space after the first 2 letters of his last name.
All the paperwork has this space including the K-1 visa in his passport.
When he filled out the I-94 he did not realize he had to leave a space. When we went to the social security office, they said the system would not allow the social security card to have this space. This was the first we knew of the problem.
The only thing I can figure is at the POE, they must have omitted the space.
When we went to get the marriage certificate, they said it had to have the space cause this is what the visa and passport have as his correct name.
I know somewhere this will cause a problem. I just don't know what has to be done.
Do we file for name correction then go back to social security and have them change it? If we have to file for name correction which form do we use?
We have to file the AOS in August.
