  1. Hi everyone, wanted to thank all of those who helped me throughout this process with your comments and info. :luv:

My fiance had his interview on April 15 and was approved at the Buenos Aires embassy. His appointment was at 1 pm, he got there at 11 am with a whole bunch of evidence in a carry on--yes...luggage...."just in case" he said lol ...well anyway,,,he said the officer called him in and only asked him a few questions...he first looked at the application and all documentation they already had and made a comment about 'alot of emails",,,my bf added,,yeah and i have alot more here (referring to the 'evidence' ) the officer didnt even ask to see any evidence,,in fact he says he didnt even open the carry-on. The officer asked, how we met, how many times did we meet ....when was the last time we saw each other,,,asked where he was born..etc then he just typed some stuff in the computer, handed him the yellow paper for dhl, placed a sticker on his passport ,,,congratulated him, said his visa was approved and said best wishes for his new life in the US. and that was all.

we are so happy!!! I will be leaving for Buenos Aires on monday and will return together! ... cant wait to see my bf..after over 9 months :dance:

Thanks again,, and best wishes for those on this journey...

  3. HI! Dont get discouraged, we filed in July , and after our NO2 I kept calling and the automated system gave me the same message that they had no record of my case etc , then Jan 4 I recieved a notice from the NVC saying they had fowarded our case to the embassy, the next day my boyfriend recieved a letter from the embassy in Buenos Aires. dont trust the automated system, its inaccurate.

    Best Wishes

  4. Hi guys!! Just wanted to share my experience re: NVC. I had been calling the automated system to know if my 129f had been recieved, I always got the same response saying my case hadnt been recieved etc etc. Well I guess its not being updated since I got a letter from NVC yesterday 01/04/08 saying my application had been sent to the Embassy in Buenos Aires, it was dated for December 28, 2007. Then today 01/05/08 my boyfriend recieved the package from the Embassy. Just wanted to let you know so some of you will not get discouraged, because this past month it gave me the same message saying they hadnt recieved it,,,yet it was being processed and its now in Argentina!!!

    Im so happy!!

  5. Hi everyone, My 129f was approved recently, im waiting on news from NVC. In the meantime my fiance and I have been making plans for our wedding and honeymoon. We really wanted to travel after our wedding to PR as our honeymoon. We had doubts since Ive read on here that some ppl have difficulty returning when leaving to PR or VI. I called USCIS yesterday and today and recieved two different responses. My questions were:

first call on 12-26-07 to USCIS

    1. Can we travel to PR on our honeymoon, him using his K1 visa?

she asked me to wait.. placed me on hold, then she responded " yes you can , its within US territory"

    2. If we do travel to PR the day after our wedding, can he use his fiance visa as ID and to return to Texas?

She said, yes, but after you get married you have to file for 1131 and wait for a reciept number and then travel. he cannot travel out of the country. " I said, not out of the country but to PR. she responded, yes he can.

I asked her again, can he use his fiance visa as a travel document, or ID during our honeymoon, being that it will not be expired since we plan to marry at the beginning of the 3rd month? and eventhough we're married and its a FIANCE visa?

she said again "yes he can" but make sure you file for I131.

This confused me, and with her tone of voice she sounded doubtful and I just didnt trust her answers. so...

    I called today :hehe:

i spoke to a very nice helpful lady. I asked her the same thing.

plus i told her i wanted to make sure since ive heard some ppl have problems when returning.

she said "there shouldn't be a problem since its within the US, but I cannot tell you for sure" she asked to give her time while she looked up the answer on her computer, she could not find an answer to either question, so ,,she gave me the number to call Washington D.C. customs, so i can ask them directly. it was a 202- something number, when i called there was an answering machine saying lines were busy, it wasnt an automated service saying ,,youve called such and such place. It was odd. I haven't tried again.

I appreciate any suggestions. Has this happened to anyone?

    Thanks!

  6. HI Caro, thanks for responding, glad to know it went well, I was worried about that, especially because he doesn't speak english and I think thats what he's concerned about. He thinks they're gonna ask him stuff in english, I dont think they do right?

We want to travel back together since we will be coming in via Houston, and his first time entering the US.

I need to start getting stuff together, thanks again for the info. I appreciate it.

So tienes aca poco? como te gusta la vida aca? :luv:

    Saludos y gracias ,

  7. Hi Caro, thanks so much for the info! My bf and I had talked about the trip and had considered going in march "si o si" even if the papers weren't ready , we didnt want to wait so long to see each other again,,,,but now with the noa2 and probably the interview coming up soon , I think our hopes of being together in the interview are not gonna happen. :( I started a new job when i got back from Argentina mid July and im saving money for the trip back and wedding.. en realidad, the inital plans were to go to the interview together and travel to the US together but we really thought it was gonna take about 9 months for the process,,not that we're not happy that it happened sooner, but it came unexpectedly. He doesnt like the idea of going alone to the interview and really I feel bad not going with him,,but I see no other way if we need to save money and I need to work. did your husband go with you? que hicieron?

    I appreciate any advice,

    Saludos y gracias,

    Mely
