My case is under section 221g ,my documents still with the consular except my passport.  I was told they may still contact me back for my passport to be return. Is that still possible to be contact back??

Is it still possible to be called back to return an international passport to the embassy? Because I went for an interview and I was a white paper which is my case is under section 221g. Telling me they will forward it to fraud unit for an investigation and the consular hold down my documents that very day. After I got home,I got a call from the embassy,asking me some questions and I give them reply to the questions. After few minutes I got another call telling me my international passport will be ready in three days and they will attach document to it. And what she said last. 

She said ,we will contact you back anytime. That what she day. 

Is it still possible they gonna contact me back to submit my passport???
