Had my biometrics done, and then received my appointment around 4 or 5 months later.....but...saying that.....we were having to re-submit forms because they had been misplaced or lost.....maybe thats why mine took so long.....good luck...fingers crossed your appt comes through soon...

Thanks people......feel like the weight of the world has finally been lifted.....Im sure the immigration process is just there to test people...see how bad they really want it.... ..if thats the case....consider me well and truly put through the wringer....lol.....got the whole adjustment of status to look forward to yet when i return........ ...its all a lot easier to deal with when you have your family around you though.....ya know??

Finally.......got my visa approved after 9 months of being in limbo, and cannot wait to return home to be with my family...and our little..(well he aint so little...)..new addition to the family...

I havent met my son yet but thanks to technology and cheap long distance calling....i have been able to talk to my lady and him via MSN and watch him transform from a newborn into a little chunky eating machine... ....its been a long hard slog but by god its worth it.......to anybody who feels like theres no end to all the red tape and the waiting.....it`ll come....just hang in there........have faith and stay positive........

Lol...i also had the Chinese woman at booth one......couldnt understand a word she was saying.....

As for the lady around the corner who asked the questions...well...she wasnt light hearted in the least....looked like she was gonna tell me to sod off back oop north and stop wasting her time.......what a day that was eh? Hi guys.. I'm just wondering where to get the cheap airline tickets. I'm planning to go back to my home country (Indonesia) around June next year. I checked online and the price is around $1500 and up. That's wayyy to expensive for me

I found Orbitz or Travel Supermarket are quite cheap....and as most of the people here have said...it all depends on the time of year that you fly.....even which day of the week can make a huge difference in price.

I also found when searching for my flights that some return flights are cheaper than a single one way ticket......good luck...hope you find something soon....

Thanks for that...well..great minds must think alike...because i did exactly that this morning....just in case.....and the barcode came out exactly the same as the first one....so im assuming it must just be like that.

Hi....I have my visa appointment on the 30th of October at The US Embassy in London.

Dont know if its just me or not, but ive been going over and over all my paperwork just to make damned sure i have everything..

My question is this...when you fill out the DS-156 online form, then print the sheets off.....my 3rd and final sheet has a barcode at the bottom of the paper....this barcode looks a little scrambled, but the ones on the first 2 sheets are fine.....would this be a problem at my interview, and if so...would you recommend that i fill another form out just in case?

Some stress involved with this paperwork dont ya think???..
