The errors could have been avoided if I had posted questions/read up on some info from this site before I sent in the package.

In the EAD we put a6(wrong), instead of c9

IN the AG we put the control # of the visa instead of the red visa number

we will try calling today or monday to see if anything has been done.

I wonder how long it would take for us to get the EAD card?????????

We spoke to 2 people in person at the fedral plaza that stated that we should send the letter. When we left the plaza we called and spoke to a lady that said we should send the letter, but when we were tranfered to a guy that was an higher uppper (according to the lady on the phone), he told us that he did not want our hopes too high that the letter would make any difference and that we should wait till we got the rfe..... he did not even ask for any receipt number

Well the letter and supporting docs have been sent and will be getting to its location tomorrow @ 12pm

I hope it is not too late...... I really feel bad.... this is the cost of not understanding how to fill out the form correctly.

Now we have to continue to wait............................................................................

Just got back from the meeting.....

Very bad news.... we have an error on the EAD application that has kept it in the pending file. We have to write in a letter to rectify the problem

but we were told that it may not be enough for any change to be made and we would have to wait till the application was completely processed incorrectly and sent back as an rfe before anything can be done.

We are being positive so we will send the letter by express mail today.........

Imagine....... he could have started working by now if only we knew( he has secured a job but we have been waiting for the EAD since May).

Just wanted to share that myself and my hubby have an appointment with an officer in the fedral plaza in NY. The appt. is to get info regarding our packet.( GC, EAD, AP)

It has been 4months since we sent out our packet and we have not gotten anything other than an RFE for the GC back in June. The biometrics was done the last week in May.....

We have a wedding to coordinate in Dec. and we also have to survive between now and then based on one income. We thank God for His grace and mercy.

The first time we wanted to make the appt. there was none available, but on the 2nd try we got today.

If anyone has any pointers.... i.e questions we can ask, requests we can make..... info that can help us.... it would be really appreciated.

Well the process was pretty painless, He got to the consulate very early and was #8. He was upset on how horribly his last/sur name was pronounced so he went up to a gentleman to let him know that they needed to stop killing his fathers name , It turned out that the man my man went to complain to was the person that would conduct his interview.

Question- When did you meet your wife?

Answer- She is my fiance, we are not married yet( chuckle, chuckle)

When was the last time you were together

do you have a picture of you and her dad

who were the people in selected pictures

He was probably asked more questions but these are what I remember. I thought I needed joint sponsorship but it turned out that I did not.

He was told to not make travel arrangement and told to come back. He was given a letter.

Ok, here I go again......can you tell I'm getting nervous now that we're down to the 11th hour?? I changed my job in March of this year. I was working prior to that and sent my fiance several of those paystubs. But now I've sent him 3 of my newer ones also which is from the new job. Do you think they will think negatively of that.....being as this job is so new?? Or do you think that as long as I have a job, that's the most important thing? I also sent my 2007 Tax Return which indicates that my income is above the requirements. The new job will keep me above it as well. Thanks again in advance for all your responses.

This very difficult to say...... but I currently do not have a JOB , but glory be to God, everything went OK with my SO's interview. I even sent joint sponsor info but the CO stated that the info that I sent was sufficient. We did not need joint sponsorship.... but understand that I made well above the poverty level and I am not on unemployment cause I resigned. I have not had a job for the last few months and I am seeking for employment, but I am THANKFUL to God for getting us this far. Just be truthful and pray

I am so happy for them... my man said he saw and heard a woman(with a boy) being interviewed and she stated that her hubby came into the country last week. I wonder if it was his family..... well, he stated that she got the same letter that he got to come back next week.

I can not believe we are so close to getting to see each other yet so close. I will have to write about the royal drama that has gone on for the last two days. I am completely drained..... but I am giving all the glory to God.

IF YOU HAD TO CHOOSE AGAIN WOULD YOU GO THROUGH K1, K3 OR IR/CR? I HAVE BEEN WONDERING ABOUT THIS LATELY. THE K1 OR K3 BRINGS YOUR SPOUSE/FIANCE' SOONER BUT THEN WHEN THEY GET HERE THEN WHAT? THE IR/CR TAKES LONGER BUT THEY ARE READY TO WORK SOONER OR ARE THEY?

EVERYDAY I LOOK AT THE FORUMS OR PORTAL AND WONDER IF MY APPROVAL DAY WILL EVER COME.

NVC PLEASE HURRY UP AND PROCESS OUR PACKET 3.

I MISS MY HUBBY SO MUCH AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HIM NEXT WEEK.

I think I would do K1 again, personally I couldnt bear my hubby not being with me, and at least we can go through the rest of the procedure together.

By the grace of God, I think I have gathered all the possible evidence I could and now the rest is in the hands of God to deliver my portion to us. Hi everyone as we all know today is April fools day and my man decided that he wanted to crack a joke about the embassy calling him. I must have spent 2 whole minutes pondering the differnt reason that this would happen; before he took the liberty to let me know I was the fool. . So I decided that I would not give him the tracking number for the DHL package I sent out today. . (maybe I will later cause it contains info he needs for the interview).

As I looked through the KEEPING TRACK topic by ZEE..... I noticed the next set of interviews for the month begin today.... I hope the visa will be granted. As for all those that are still waiting I pray God's will be done.

I can not express the range of emotions I have been going through as I hope but try not to predict any outcome for next week. I wish I could travel and be there with him... I wish I knew that everything would be OK....... I wish he was here..............

I realize that most peolpe do not write too much about their experience before the interview date.... So consider this an invitation.

I want to first say congrats to all who have their visas and good luck to all who are about to go on interviews i.e 03/17 and 03/20 and any others for the month of march. (Sorry not very good at info gathering).

I have questions that have been bothering me for a while........ well here it goes...... At this time I am unable to fully support my hubby due to unexpected financial difficulty. I have asked my cuz who makes above the poverty level to assist, and he agreed.

1 Does the embassy keep the finacial info sent to them if they ask for it? I believe the embassy keeps all the information that is given to them.

2 Do I fill out the I134 stating that I do not make above povety level or leave it blank? You need to fill one out as you are the primary sponsor and then your cosponsor would fill one out.

3 If I happen to make more money at a later date/ closer to the interview date, do I need to fill out new forms? If you do then I would update the forms, especially if it shows you making more than the poverty guidelines. You could also add some recent paystubs and an employment letter to help back it up. I would still have a cosponsor if the increase was only like a couple of weeks before the interview (just in case they ask for one then you will be prepared )
