I have not seen threads of anybody who has done it. Usually, it is extended due to circumstances beyond one’s control (i.e. Covid delays) and it’s at the discretion of the consulate.

I do apologize for the duplication of thread here. So, I'm a little confused as to how to do this process..She would need to file everything as instructed like DS-160, get medically examined, and etc. Once done so, she can then go that interview so she can give the letter stating to extend the validation of our petition for another 4 months, right?

You will have 6 months after medical to fly to the US. I suppose you could schedule an interview then reschedule again to a later date to prolong your partner’s time in the UK BUUUUUUUT CO might question why the interviews were delayed. Another member delayed her interview and CO requested more relationship evidence. Would you be visiting your partner in the UK between now and August 2024?

Yeah I will be visiting her again December of this year. Thank you all for the much needed response. I supposed the best thing we can really do schedule an interview and reschedule but I see the risk here of the CO thinking our relationship could be no longer a legitimate one. But yeah the reason why she needs to prolong her stay is because of her lease contract with her future landlord..I'm just hoping the best here.

  3. Greetings everyone..I hope everyone is doing well. So, beyond blessed and thankful that our k1 has finally been approved. Few concerns came into mind though. So I know our approved k1 petition remains valid for 4 months, is there a way to somewhat extend our k1’s validity? My fiancee lives in the UK right now and wants to possibly fly here August 2024.

Basically I-129F petitions will all go to the California Service Center, except for petitioners who have a criminal background as those will go to the Vermont Service Center instead where they will languish forever.

Is that a typo on your date?  Did you submit your petition in February 2021 or February 2022?  I've been seeing posts that people with NOA1's in January 2022 are starting to get NOA2.  If you submitted in February 2022 then you should be hearing within a few weeks hopefully.

If you submitted in February 2021 and haven't heard anything at all (no RFE, etc) then you definitely need to submit a case inquiry to USCIS because that is way beyond expected processing time.

Hello my friend. I do appreciate the response . And yes, I apologize I made a typo there. We submitted ours February 22, 2022. I really am hoping the best for all of us. It gets a little frustrating, but I try to understand. Thank you once again and all the best to you as well my friend.

  5. Greetings everyone. So, my fiancé lives in the UK. We have submitted our petition February 22, 2022. We sent our petition to the one in Texas. I know this will take a while and I was trying to see if tourist visa would be a wise option. Can she still apply for a tourist visa while we wait on the NOA2 for our fiancé visa? Is anyone in the same situation as we are? If so, please lay down any information that may be of help to us. Thank you all so much and we wish you all the best.
