  1. Ok your first statement I'm confused about. I was looking online and was trying to see which one to put my dad under. One guy on another thread said that nvc sent him back to add his father as an household sponsor since they were all living under the same household when they come to America. They rejected him being as an joint sponsor. The guy on the other post had no income as well and was also staying in the spouse country.  To clarify my situation me my spouse and my dad will be under the same household and staying together when we arrive. So do I still need to put him under joint instead of household?

  2. Good morning. I'm sponsoring my wife to come to the United States but I've been in her home country the past three years. I have my dad to to the household sponsor but the question is about my own application. When I sign my own application since I didn't have any income in the United States how to a fill the application? My dad makes way over the minimum requirements so it's no problem there. I just don't want any delays on my own part. Also one more question. When I upload my dad's transcripts, is that all they need and his birth certificate? I'm in nvc and it's all they say I need but if there's anything else I can upload I would like to while I'm at this stage before I submit. Is it necessary to have his w2 since I already have three years of his transcripts? Also on my own application since I have no taxable USA income do I just put n/a on the application in certain spots?

  3. I have been staying in Nigeria with my wife since 2021 and I have become an immigrant here. I have my green card and immigration papers. Our application was finally approved at the USCIS. They are saying now I need joint sponsor. I have a friend  that's proud to help me and makes over 100k yearly but the problem is that when his wife heard the word Nigeria she said she didn't want anything to do with signing anything.  They also filed jointly on their taxes. Would the officer need her to sign as well? Would the officer make a big deal out of it? I could also get another friend as well to sign as another joint sponsor so that's two people so far and he's single. Thanks in advance. Just need some advice cause I want to get everything in one shot if I can with no delays cause we've been waiting forever it seems like.

  4. I just read and it says the purchasers are to pay the tax at the local DMV to avoid paying two taxes on the same vehicle. So I'm not sure how to report something like that. Because I pay big taxes already when I buy the cars then the buyer pays taxes when they register the car at the local DMV. For example. I sold one 2018 Malibu for $12000 and later I sold an 2017 Malibu for $10000. How would I report something like that? I don't know anything about taxes as far as self employment goes. Especially since the taxes are already paid two times on the same vehicle.

Start by doing the taxes and actually declaring your income. Lying on anything immigration related is never a wise choice.

I never would lie. It's just been a hobby that turned into more. I'm allowed in my state to sell seven cars a year before having to report anything. I'm usually under the threshold but the vehicles I sell make slot of money for the year. Just trying to see how to go about it when the time comes

  6. I'm a petitioner and I'm filing for my wife. I haven't gotten to this stage yet but has anyone had everything approved if the petitioner can't show tax returns from the past three years or no income? My parents and a friend can do the affidavit of support. Just wanted to know if it would be a problem if I can't show income for myself. I make slot of money selling cars but I just don't have anything to show it. I've been under the radar so to speak. Now it's come back to bite me hard if it's going to be a problem. My wife is from lagos. I've visited her five times last year also.

  7. Hi. I'm petitioning for my wife to come and immigrate from Nigeria. We have an joint bank account but I see that most Nigeria banks don't have regular bank statements like we do in the USA. I can only show a screen shot the bank sends me through an email when we transfer funds. That's the only time it shows me and my wife's name. I went to the bank and they say they don't print bank statements and can't send me one. Seems some things are difficult for no reason in Nigeria 😂. I wanted to add world remit transactions but alot of people said it would be an bad idea to use it. What else can I use? We do share an house together in Lagos and have all the paperwork for that. We also are about to start an catering service and have all evidence and photos of that. Just want to make sure I have everything right before I submit my application. Want to get it done before everything shuts down again.
