I am about to file for AOS. So I am freaking out again!!

TD shot, as we all know, is not available in the Philippines. So we were told to have it in the USA. My question is, will I need to have my TD shot before filing for AOS? Please enlighten me.... Thanks alot and more power to all

Seattle2cebu, you went thru alot of pain dealing with your ex fiance. Am so sorry. I used to read alot about your post (happy ones-the eagerness was there) because we got the same interview month. I can even remember the pic of your fiance in white shirt.

Anyhow, dont you think you had enough pains in dealing with this family? Why bother contacting the cousin again? By getting "alliance" with the cousin, you are basically getting the "family" back again. If your aim is to really marry a Fiipina, why dont you start looking around somewhere? maybe Cebu is not the place for you. So look in Davao, Manila, etc...

I believe this is not the time for you to be spending 6 months in the PI if your only option is to be guided/attended by the cousin. I dont think thats a wise thing to do right now...Just a thought.

should it be hand carried? is it one of the docs needed in the POE to be presented to the immigration officer?

My March 10 interview experience was a very pleasant one. My request for visa pick up was also approved. The Consul at window 32 was very nice. He did not even ask me my reason why I wanted a visa pick up though he told me he can't promise when will my visa be ready for pick up. Then 2pm of March11, I received a call from the Embassy telling me my visa is ready for pick up on March 12. So I picked it up in the morning of march 12 then had my CFo stamping in the afternoon! Now I just arrived at my place and will start packing my things. Am leaving on March 20. Wowee!!

Hello Vjers. I just need insights on this very important move that me and my fiance are about to make...

My interview will be on March 10. I am hoping and praying everything will be fine. I will also request for visa pick up after the approval from the consul. (got the letter from my fiance addressed to the Consul. )

The thing is, my fiance and I want to purchase my airline ticket now, and the flight schedule is March 14 at 10pm. So am asking what are my chances of having my visa ready for pick up on that date? ( I will have my CFO seminar on March 11). Please me. Thanks alot VJ friends

I asked our lawyer about the DS 230 form and here is what she replied...

Hello. The DS156 has been E Filed and is included in the financial packet. The others (DS156K, DS157, DS230) are attached below in an editable format so you can complete them. The DS230, part one, absolutely needs to be completed. The forms attached do not need to be E Filed as far as I know.

Thank you. I mailed her and told her DS230 is not included in my packet from the Consulate. She must have forgotten that I am in K1 route!

We just received instructions from our lawyer about filling up the forms. I noticed that she asked me to fill up the DS 157 and DS230I (and she will fill up the DS156 on my behalf)...

Not that I doubt our lawyer , I checked the DS230I and compared it to the DS156K and noticed that they are not the same forms( are they? ). The instructions I received is to fill up these forms and handcarry them to the Consulate.

So which is which? DS156K or DS230I or BOTH??
