  1. So one of the things I need to bring to the interview stage is a criminal record history/check indicating past criminal record, in which thankfully I have none. But not only does it ask for it from the local police station (ottawa, canada), but it is also asking for criminal record check from my country of origin (indonesia), which i spent only 2 years as soon as I hit 16+. this process will be slightly convoluted since it requires for my fingerprints to be sent there somehow from the local police station. my question is, are they very thorough during the interview stage? will there be possibly any delays if I do not have a criminal background check from my country of origin? thank you!
  2. GOOD NEWS FOR ME!! after 406 days of waiting, mine is finally approved yesterday!! finally things can start moving for me! for reference, i am in the 94000's brackets! I wish the rest of you luck!
  3. the receipt number you get when they received your case file. should start with WAC21900xxxxx or WAC21901xxxxx . It's your last 5 digit from there.
  4. Thanks again for the constant update Xiaova. I hope they touch the 94000's cases again soon. Wish I filed later on, lol.
  5. thanks for keeping us posted, Xiaova. theyre finally touching the 94000s. here's to hoping mine gets looked at soon.
  6. Yes, this is what I intend to do after reading some more of it yesterday. I misunderstood the process, so I'll just do the I-485 when the time comes. I won't be doing the CR-1.
  7. Then I need to take a closer look towards EAD then Much appreciated for the pointers.
  8. no no, I was asking if I was in the waiting period for K1 (to get a working permit/green card, and already in the States), if I could apply for CR-1 to get the green card faster. But it seems I am misunderstanding some things.
  9. If i were to look into getting into work in the US without waiting for the ~8 months of waiting time (no work!) after successfully doing K1, would CR-1 Visa help at all to fasten things up? I read that processing may take 7-9 months, but would it be smarter to just wait to receive a green card when I am done with k1 or would it be smarter to apply for CR-1 so I can work faster? (or am I just misunderstanding CR-1 in general??)
  10. Thanks for the update! My case is in the 94400's so I'm feeling slightly optimistic about it . Kinda scary how there are RFEs this late to the process. Hopefully it doesn't add months to those who did get it.
