ty for your help
thats great....
Are you talking about USCIS recommendations OR Canadian government recommendations for Canadians? USCIS holds everyone to the same vaccination standards regardless of country. Differences in recommendations may be due to the age of the immigrant.I'm talking about requirement regarding the US visa k-1 application (USCIS) but I read it on a canadian tread..
Reading VJ can help me sometimes and other times it confuse me more loll
-
Hello !!
Well i read a tread saying that canadians dont need the hep A/B vaccin as it isnt a requirement...
is it true?? somebody knows if its truly really true loll?
thks for your help

wow!! that was a quick reply.
ty very much

Hello everyone!
I just looked at the MTL embassy check list for packet 3 and I was wondering if we can file all forms online and print them out? Is so...where can we find the DS-230 good for 2008 (the one i found expired in 2007 )?
Regarding the I-134.....we included it in our case already back in september.....do we need to send them a new one?
They also have a intend letter from both (me and my fiance) so are we gonna need to bring them a new one for the interview ?
ty very much for your help....I just want everything perfect and in order....( and trying to not stressing out )

Dbears,
You filed for a fiance visa for a Filipina? I don't want judge but how could you do that? Why do you expect the girl to leave her life behind and come to the USA, on only your verbal promise of marriage? If you really loved and cared about her, you would have married her in the PI before you asked her to leave her life behind.

I'm just making a point. The above does not express my feeling about fiance visas but if it did, the IMBRA forum is not the place to discuss such things. Perhaps you'll see my point now. Please stay on topic.
You just made me roll with laughter. Actually pushbrk, I AM the Filipina fiancee and filing for a fiance visa has been a mutual decision. And to set the record straight, we originally planned on getting married here in the Philippines, as a matter of fact we have already booked some wedding vendors but then decided to just go for a K1 visa as it is more cost effective as of now and then have another wedding here in the Philippines 2-3years from now or maybe on our 5th anniversary.
You are so vent on "Please stay on-topic AND keep your nose out of other peoples' relationships when all they asked about was the visa process." but just read your post to me... and actually some of your other post here on VJ....
well, i won't add anything more coz i was taught to respect the elderly even if they are so touchy, after all, they are supposed to be so full of wisdom .. but man, you cracked me up with that one .. thank you for making me laugh, really needed that one.
good one dbear
that made me laugh too

Humm... Going to visit him and enjoy time together is a great thing to do...as you havent send any documents yet.
However..depends where and when..but if you attempt to cross the borders with your husband..that might ring them a bell..( make sure to have enough ties to Canada to show them you gonna go back at 100% sure ).
Some officers are nice enough to understand that the purpose is just to visit and not be apart to long
Then once you are in US and you can send all your documents...regarding I-94 card..I would be honnest on the form and tell them the date of your arrival and the date of your departure. Just as it is also ask on I-129f.
Theres nothing illegal about being in US while filling..So dont worry about that...like I said.. as long as you gonna return.
Good luck and enjoy that time with your hubby

How fortunate for you that the first petition didnt run its full course and you didnt marry the first petitioner...otherwise you would have been married to the wrong guy.
"wow...my topic became hot...THANKS FOR ADVICE..I REALLY APPRECIATE IT..YES..WE CANNOT JUDGE EACH AND EVERYONE OF US...WHEN IT COMES TO LOVE..even UR YOUNG OR OLD..OR in a SHORT OR LONG COURTSHIP..it doesnt matter...when u want to marry a man..its BECAUSE U LOVED HIM ANd U KNOW HIM enough...to be ur husband..."
Good luck with your journey.
You nailed it truffles

you CANT have your interview in Canada as your work permit doesnt mean you become a citizen or a legal immigrant of Canada.
You have to pass your interview in your own country and if you ever need an extention of your NOA2..USCIS can renew it once for 4 months.
-
I'm pretty sure you CANT have your interview in Canada as well.
However if you ever need an extention of your NOA2.....USCIS can renew it once for another 4 months..
Good luck on your journey!
-
Hum...
Well if his ex wife got her green card..she isnt an illegal alien anymore and that shouldnt affect your fiance's rights to file for a k-1 visa for you.
However make sure his divorce his final as he needs to show it and prove it during the process of k-1.
Good luck

Papers that been shipped on 25th as NVC guy told me...arrived at embassy MTL yesterday (according to DHL trick )
So I'll say its mines
-
I'm sorry to hear that !! But somehow it is for the best...as really soon ( remember time goes fast) youll be with your wife and shell have the right to stay and live in US legally.
Thats stink totally i agree...... American/Canadian couples didnt have to get a visa to get married in US a longgggg time ago lol
and now it really putts people in confusion about can we? can we not ? They should do huge advertisements to say" HEY CANADIANS.... interest in marrying an american citizen?? loll GET A VISA TO GO ALONG WITH THE LAW " instead of advertisements for army .
Dont worry !! Focus on loving your wife and visit her as often as you can..It will soon all be behind ya
keep smiling
-
GM to you guys !!!
I got a question regarding the DHL tracking thing loll
How do we track the number we recieved from NVC ....i tried every way possible and it doesnt seems to work
However there a package that been shipped and is now on its way to MTL......Could be ours as its the date they said they would ship it but I'd like to be sure before I get to excited loll
thanks for you help and you all have a great day
-
GOOD LUCK !!!
and dont forget to breath lol....it will be fine
-
What country are you from ???
And you say you'd like to have interview in Canada
do you have your canadian citizenship ??
Normally, youll have your interview in your country as you stated on your 129f application... So if you are either a citizen or a "legal immigrant " in Canada....then you'll have your interview there.. If not...youll have it in India.
Congrats on your approval and good luck for the rest of the journey
-
ok ..tks
I included everything they need already in the 129f...like original of birth certificate, police check (both translate nd notarized ) and so on..
So do you think theyll say I dont have to send it again ?? and ask just for ds-156 and ds-156k ?
Is there any problems to send packet 3 from US ?
Well I guess I'll have to it and see but it always feels good to be reassure loll
-
Well tks to u LIZ
I saw it took a month..but I guess It could be a lil faster lol
And I was wondering ( if you can share here or my private IM's ) what they asked you to send them in packet 3?
Hum...It really took 5 MONTHS to get an interview ????
thank you for your help
-

If canada...have a loook at embassy review
http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php
the reviews are excellent so keep smiling
dont worry so much you guys will be just fine and have the visa in hands real soon
good luck
-
In that situation ............YUP I'd go for a visa k-1
its the fastest...and you can always visit each other during the process.
* health care was the biggest advantage because in QC we mainly pay nothing or not much for medical assistance or meds but I dont know how it is in ONT...I thought it was the same
* other advantages could be schools...its way cheaper if not free in Canada ( well in QC anyway)
However if shes already pretty well set.....well you good to move in US.
Good luck on your journey
-
YAY !!! ty
TheAteam.....I did only with local police from towns where I lived and I just looked at my copies and it says that the information been provided by CPIC as a result of search by **** (local police name).

WOW we were probably wriing at the same time....
So am I good to go???? I dont have any criminal past...except the one of fallen for an american ( for canadians men is it a crime hehe )
ty so much......I feel better now
I included those police certificates in the 129f ayway....so I guess it was all good...
-
In my opinion its what you need and it will be perfect.....
Its what I got..but from town where I lived in QC since I'm born and now that tread makes me question about the same thing than you...
However none of them been taking fingerprints......so now what ???
sorry I am not more secure in my answer but ty for that tread
SSN Pls..help
in Moving to the US and Your New Life In America
Posted
In answer to your question .....You can either do it now before the expiration of your I-94 or after you get married (same time you file for AOS)
I arrived in US the last first of july and just applied for it in person a day ago. It went smoothly and no complications :
I had the SSN form filled out with my passport as a proof of identity and to show my I-94 card.
heres the link :

have a good one
