what does mbc mean?

I know I am in the wrong site all togehter, but if someone could helo me or point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

I am a British Citizen and my wife is American. My wife has come over to England on a tourist visa. Her 6 month visa will run out and we wanted to try to stay 3 extra weeks. She is not working and doesn't want to becoem a permant resident.

Does anyone know any way to increase her length of stay? OR who we can contact for help.

I am moving to the states next month. I have my I-551 visa which I guess becomes my green card once I enter the states. But I wanted to ask how long and what I need to do to get my Social Security number? Will it just get sent to me? Or do I have to apply once I get to the states.

I am just trying to figure out how long it will take before I can start working once I get out there

I am trying to get my green card. Last week I had my interview at the US embassy in London. They issued me with a immigrant visa in my passport. It says it is a temporary I-551, for permanent residence for 1 year. They also gave me a package that is to not to be opened, that I give to immigantion in the US.

Am I done? Once I get to the states will I have my greencard? Or are there more steps to complete once I get there?

I am a little unclear on what I will have to do next, if someone can give me some idea of what to expect I would very much appreciate it......

I am married to a US citizen. I applied for my greencard. I was informed that applying for a K3 visa will get me into the US faster and then once I am there my status can change so I get my greencard. I have had my medical and I am going for my interview next week in London (I am not sure if my iterview is for my greencard or K3 visa, because I had different case numbers and the case number that was stated on my letter with my interview date on it was the case number of my greencard).

Anyway after my interview I guess that I have to wait for my visa, then I can enter the states. If I am getting K3 visa, what will I need to do to get my green card? How longo would that take? Am I able to work and leave the US on the K3 visa?

Any help would me much appreciated, I am finding the whole process pretty difficult and confusing. I wish I had found this website earlier.

After my interview is completed at the London Embassy, will the embassy take my passport to put my visa inside? If so how fast will it be returned to me? Is it possible to wait at the embassy for the visa to be processed and just collect it by hand?

I have applied for my visa and have been called for my interview, which is in a couple of weeks. However my work has me temporarliy living in another country. Is it possible to request that my interview be changed to a different US embassy? How would I go about it? Would this take a long time to move my case to a different Embassy? as I am only here for a matter of months.

Where can I find the email for the US embassy in London?

I wrote a letter to inform them well in advance that I was unable to attend. But I have not heard anything back from them. What is the best way to contact them to find out if they received my letter?

I have got to the stage where I have undertaken my medical and I was sent an appointment of my interview at the embassy. I was unable to attend my interview becasue I was out of the country on a work trip. Also my interveiw was scheduled for October and I would be unable to travel to the US until the summer. I read that after the issuing of the green card, I have to travel to the US within 6 months.

I wrote a letter saying that I was unable to attend, but I have had no repsponse. Is there any way I can get confirmation that they received my letter? Also is there anyway way to try and scheduale my interview for a time suitable for me?

Any help would be appreciated.
