Hi All,
I am a US citizen. I have been living and working in the US for the past 8 months. We are applying for a green card for my spouse.
On my I-864 my current individual income (Part 6, Item 7) is above the 125 percent of the Federal poverty level.
However on my most recent tax returns (2020) my total income (Part 6, 24a) is below the Federal poverty level. (Due to working overseas)
I believe what the USCIS checks is the "current income" and I will be supporting this with 8 months of paystubs and verification employment letter. However my attorney told me that I will get an RFE due my most recent tax return income being below the Federal poverty level .
Do you think I will need a joint sponsor?

Does anyone have updated info on this subject?
I will be submitting translated vukuatli nufus kayit document I have received from the consulate. First page being translated and second page the original document?
Did you also send the translated and original page or just the translated page?
Do I need a co-sponsor? Meet income requirement but W2s from past two years show low income.

Hi M&Y_2019,
I am in the same situation. How did your application go?
