  1. i got a (maybe dumb)question about the notary on form I-134. when i have this notorized, does the notary just stamp, sign & date anywhere on the bottom of form. i'm fairly sure the "subcribed & sworn...signature of officer administering oath" part is for a immigration official.

The notary will sign and stamp in a couple of places actualy....but only after he/she has checked the entire document for completeness and no missed spaces (put NA wherever needed) and you have to raise you hand and swear that the whole document is correct.

  2. Hello all,

Today I received what I believe is a copy of the Packet 3 which is to be sent to my fiancee prior to the interview. We already know our interview date from calling the embassy and the embassy confirmed that the Packet 3 would reach my fiancee within 3 weeks. It has bee one week since and now I (petitioner) got a Packet 3 in the mail. Is this normal?? Is a copy sent to me as back up, or is this the real thing?

Also, is it true that visas are issued the same day as the interview? I am sure it depends on each case and the embassy, but we are hoping it will be issued same day or very shortly after so we don't have to make a return trip to the embassy.

Thanks for your help and to all best wishes on your journey...

  3. Hi everyone we are still here, no approval, no touches. "We" are litterly addicted to checking the USCIS site daily, which is not good i know. "A watched pot never boils".

By the way, can someone instruct me how to put my time line on the bottom of my emails and posting and responses?

I know what you mean... ive had ups and downs checking USCIS website or not as well.

About the time line: look on the right top corner of the page and go to "My Controls" and then to the left you click on "Edit Signature"

    "A watched pot never boils."

I completely agree... I'm trying not to look at USCIS anymore because it always says the same thing. I just want to know... i just want to know... i just want to know...

Do you think that stress can kill brain cells? I've been loopy lately.

But at least it looks as if VSC is moving. That's good!

    Watching the pot anyway,

    hz

Yes I can't stop myself from checking multiple times a day either....I just keep imagining I will see somthing change and hope that it happens. VSC does seem to be moving though ur right...keep it up VSC!!

  4. I know it still early for me to start freaking out about getting the NOA2. But my heart falls into pieces every time I check USCIS for case status and see that same old "case received and pending" message, and that long time ago touch from 8/28/2007.... :clock:

:( This is going to be one of those real though days for me.

    - Vanessa

me, too... right there with you... not sure what to think... trying to only check USCIS once a day.

let's hang in, we're going to be okay!

    happy thoughts,

    hz

I called VSC this morning to update some information for our case and try and get some info from them on where they are in the processing. Girl was polite but couldn't give any specific details....oh well no worries I say, this month we will all get the good news

  5. Where can we check who is getting approved and when? I'd like to know if there are VSCs from Sept getting approved before ours. It certainly is not fair at all.

... so they approved more Sept. filers yesterday and still nothing at all for us August filers. (at least at VSC there's absolutely none)

No September filers were approved yesterday, at least according to the VJ timeline search. The last September filer approved was Nov 8.
