  1. I am also going through the same procedures, It will happen when it happens, the only time the government moves fast is when they want money from you. My lady also made it out of Kharkiv with her son, mother and a friend and her dog. They are now in Nuremberg, Germany. Frankfurt is where the medical exam and the interview will take place. I have also requested an expedite, unfortunately I received an RFE but managed to get certified copies of the info and sent it back within a week. They received it yesterday through certified mail so I am also waiting for the NOA2. I have been doing a lot of research and I have not seen anything that suggests that NVC will not be reviewing the case. Although you can expedite at the NVC and they will skip the process and send it to the foreign embassy. https://www.immi-usa.com/nvc-expedite-request/ I am tired of being stressed out wondering when everything will take place, therefor I am going to TRY to go about my daily business and just wait for the NOA2 and for the NVC case to receive it so I can get the case number so I can do another expedite. I am thinking it will take about 2 weeks before the embassy gets the documents from the NVC.

    Good luck

if you have any other questions I can try to inform you of what I know, hopefully you are working on your I-864 sponsorship form, and then your fiance will also have to do a DS-160 and of course study for the interview.

Thanks much for the greater detail. I prefer her to stay in Poland and go to Germany at the time of the interview.

Thanks. As far as the interview is concerned it is for the green card and mine is a K1 visa so the questions would be different I guess. Appreciate if you could answer the following questions for me:

      1) Does your fiance and her son are living with many other people in a hostel like accommodation or an apartment has been given exclusively to them?

      2) If an apartment has been given to them is there a time limit set by the German government as how long they could stay there?

      3) If my fiance and her two kids fly to Frankfurt, Germany, what's the procedure out there to register as refugees and get accommodation, food etc? Is there any assistance available in the Frankfurt airport for the arriving refugees from Ukraine? Any suggestions will help as I want them to go to Frankfurt because the interview will anyhow will be scheduled there.

      4) Did your fiance declare to the refugee center that she is in the process of migrating to the US?

      Thanks much in advance.

Hi, thanks for your detailed response. I'm glad to hear that your fiance and her son moved to Nuremberg, Germany and are safe. My fiance was saying that people in Poland are concerned that Russia might attack Poland. I disagree to some extent as Poland is a NATO country but we never know. Hence my fiance was thinking of moving to Germany. How is Germany treating Ukrainian refugees i.e providing decent accommodation, food etc for free? I want to know so that I can ask my fiance to move to Germany as the interview ill eventually happen at Frankfurt. My third attempt of expedite request has been approved by USCIS after I sent them 15 page documentation. What I have been told by the rep at NVC is that once they receive it they will assign a DOS Case ID and wait for the Frankfurt US embassy to request the petition to be sent there and I can request an expedite at NVC by send them an email and this has to happen only after they assign the DOS Case ID. I think USCIS uses first class mail to send the petition to the NVC so it can take anywhere between 1-2 weeks so I'm hoping it might reach by end of this week which will be the second week.

I wanted to request Frankfurt embassy to allow my fiance and her kids to get the medical done in Warsaw or Krakow Poland so it will be easier for her. I'll request that as part of the NVC expedite request.

After reading your email I have downloaded the I-864 form and will be filling it up this week. What needs to be studied for the interview? Do you have any suggestions? I'll also update you here if I hear anything else. Appreciate if you could get back to me with the information about Germany and the study for the interview.
