So happy for you and your husband !!! Wishing you all the best and happy you were able to finally get an appt .
-
It can be good they “updated”his case because I’m assuming it means a human looked at his file at least .
my state senator wrote back within two business days (well his office did) so I would definitely follow up again if it’s been a week. They have someone dedicated to constituent issues like this so I would keep reaching out to them. The embassy seems to be taking forever though processing cases

Of course! There was another post (somewhere) of another couple I think going through the same thing , their interview was denied because of medicals . But somewhere the embassy must have realized the doctors down here had limited availability so they changed the rule.
keep checking and I wish you guys the best of luck. We are towards our third month here and the waiting is just quite stressful.
I would keep emailing as much as possible but keep it polite and friendly

Hi! Yes I’ll search through and see if I can find it but I’m pretty new here as well :/. Try in the search field at the top of the page “rescheduling.” It’s a lot of different countries but i Think the process is similar and some ppl have similar situations.
Have you tried emailing them at CongenSanSal@state.gov?
we usually get the same automatic reply since our case has entered the administrative processing black hole ….. but it can help maybe for you guys since you’re just trying to reschedule an original appt.
also try contacting your state senator. They have a constituent form usually on their websites and they can reach out to the embassy on your behalf .

Maybe try checking at random times during the day? And right after midnight? I read on a different thread they sometimes release more appointments randomly. Can your lawyer submit a request to the embassy?
they must have changed the rule because my husband had his interview mid august and they said it was fine he didn’t have his medicals. He just had to send back his passport once medicals were done .

What documents were you missing ?

Hi! My husband and I are in ELS too, they automatically schedule your appt did you or your lawyer receive notice ? As long as all of your documents were submitted and accepted online then you should be good. Or did you just receive a notice of approval.
Status has changed from refused to administrative processing

My husband’s status has been Refused (since the end of august, we submitted the extra form they asked for on Sept 13) and then we just noticed tonight it went to Administrative Processing. Hopefully does this mean we are at at the end of our waiting period? Trying to stay hopeful but it’s hard being in the AP cycle
