Thank you all so much. I am overwhelmed with getting our apartment filled with his favorite things (but in a good way) I just hope he can handle the cold winter. I want to take him to hockey games, bowling making a snowman and introduce him to all the good food we have here in the states.
I know it sounds silly, I feel like Im falling in love all over again.

Hi everyone,
We have been in ap since april 09, embassy website says our case is complete for 6 weeks now but my husband has not received a phone call or e-mail from them. he has tried calling them, he cant get through it is a recording. I have called dos they tell me still pending ap. I have also contacted my sentator and congresman's office. they have sent an e-mail to embassy with no reply from the embassy. I too have sent an e-mail to the embassy they tell me still pending ap.
I just dont understand, why the embassy's website say our case is complete but yet they are not contacting my husband.
Nov 1st was are 2nd wedding anv. I was so hoping we would be together.
I miss him sooo very much. some days I feel like I want to go to sleep and never wake up. Im soooo tired.
can anyone give me some kind of hope this will end soon?
on the embassy website it says he has until feb 3rd then the visa will not longer be vaild. what if they dont contact him before this date?
thank you for any advice you can give me.

Hi everyone. my hubby looked to the embassy website, said case complete. I called dos they said case still pending. can someone tell me what this means? I was going to go to syria the end of this month but now I dont know if I should. how long after case complete will he get his visa?
thank for your help.
jennie
You are almost there
I hope so, but Im afraid to get too excited. dont want to be let down.
I would think the embassy would call him and tell him to bring his passport in. thats what they told him at the interview anyway.

Alhamdullilah!! What wonderful news! We live for the day our number says "complete"
The Embassy updates each Thursday. Perhaps the DOS isn't updated yet.
If it says case complete on the embassy site, he needs to go to the Embassy. Check the Embassy site. This is taken off the Damascus Embassy Site:
"If your case number appears below please submit your passport(s), the refusal sheet (OF-194) and the missing items, if any, to the U.S. Embassy, Consular Section in Damascus, any Sunday through Wednesday between 10:00 and 11:00 am, before the end of the Clearance validation date."
Insha'Allah, it will be soon. I am thinking of you. Please let me know what happens! Have him go this Sunday!!
Baj
HI Baj
I called DOS again today, no update
emailed embassy yesterday. no reply yet.
I saw this too and told him he should go to the embassy. until I saw this.
The security clearance is complete, but a visa may not be available for your category this month. Please contact us by e-mail before coming to the Embassy.
Should I have him call the embassy?
thank you for keeping us in your thoughts.

Any more progress Jennie-Ammar? Or anyone else?
Still in AP...

The sad thing about this person is I always considered him a very kind and giving man. He is very active in his church and does so much for his community.

Every time I get an email like that, I respond to every person it was sent to when it was sent to me and I correct every wrong part of it! I do so in a very polite and easy going way and give them gentle reminders that it is not ok to spread these things not knowing if they are true or not and that they need to have research to back up the lies that they are sending. It ruffles my feathers in a major way!!!
Great idea!
consider it done!
-
I don't know you or your "friend", but all I can say is WOW. People just keep getting more and more ignorant, believing everything they read without bothering to do research for themselves. It's a shame, and personally I find nothing more revolting than racism and prejudice.
Maybe this is a way of God showing you who your real friends are...
I wish you all the best in your journey!
OH Trust me when I say, I gave him I peace of my mind.

I got this email from someone I thought was my friend.
is this what most americans think about muslims?
I didnt know if I should be pissed or laugh.
This is a true story and the author, Rick Mathes, is a well-known leader
in prison ministry. The man who walks with God always gets to his
destination. . If you have a pulse you have a purpose.
The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita in the
United States , especially in the minority races!!!
Last mon th I attended my annual training session that's required
for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training
session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman
Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their
beliefs.
I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The
Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a
video.
After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers.
When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked:
'Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and
clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the
infidels of the world and, that by killing an infidel, (which is a command
to all Muslims) they are assured of a plac e in heaven. If that's the
case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?'
There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation, he
replied, 'Non-believers! '
I responded, 'So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of
Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so
they can have a place in heaven. Is that correct?'
The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie
jar.' He sheepishly replied, 'Yes.'
I then stated, 'Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope
John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr.
Stanley ordering all Protestants to do the same in order to guarantee them
a place in heaven!'
The Imam was speechless!
I continued, 'I also have a problem with being your friend when you and
your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me!
Let me ask you a question: Would you rather have your Allah, who tells
you to kill me in order for you to go to heaven, or my Jesus who tells me
to love you because I am going to heaven and He wants you to be there with
me?'
You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame..
Needless to say, the organizers20and/ or promoters of the Diversification
training seminar were not happy with my way of dealing with the Islamic
Imam, and exposing the truth about the Muslims' beliefs.
In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. to elect
the President!
I think everyone in the U.S.. should be required to read this, but with
ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us
send it on! This is your chance to make a difference.. .
FOR GODS' SAKE! PLEASE SEND THIS ON!
