  1. I am also going through the same procedures, It will happen when it happens, the only time the government moves fast is when they want money from you. My lady also made it out of Kharkiv with her son, mother and a friend and her dog. They are now in Nuremberg, Germany. Frankfurt is where the medical exam and the interview will take place. I have also requested an expedite, unfortunately I received an RFE but managed to get certified copies of the info and sent it back within a week. They received it yesterday through certified mail so I am also waiting for the NOA2. I have been doing a lot of research and I have not seen anything that suggests that NVC will not be reviewing the case. Although you can expedite at the NVC and they will skip the process and send it to the foreign embassy. https://www.immi-usa.com/nvc-expedite-request/ I am tired of being stressed out wondering when everything will take place, therefor I am going to TRY to go about my daily business and just wait for the NOA2 and for the NVC case to receive it so I can get the case number so I can do another expedite. I am thinking it will take about 2 weeks before the embassy gets the documents from the NVC.

    Good luck

if you have any other questions I can try to inform you of what I know, hopefully you are working on your I-864 sponsorship form, and then your fiance will also have to do a DS-160 and of course study for the interview.

Thanks. As far as the interview is concerned it is for the green card and mine is a K1 visa so the questions would be different I guess. Appreciate if you could answer the following questions for me:

      1) Does your fiance and her son are living with many other people in a hostel like accommodation or an apartment has been given exclusively to them?

      2) If an apartment has been given to them is there a time limit set by the German government as how long they could stay there?

      3) If my fiance and her two kids fly to Frankfurt, Germany, what's the procedure out there to register as refugees and get accommodation, food etc? Is there any assistance available in the Frankfurt airport for the arriving refugees from Ukraine? Any suggestions will help as I want them to go to Frankfurt because the interview will anyhow will be scheduled there.

      4) Did your fiance declare to the refugee center that she is in the process of migrating to the US?

      Thanks much in advance.

Yes, my fiance goes to a refugee center for assistance. She found a married couple (how I do not know) I believe they offered assistance at the center. They had an extra dwelling that was furnished and that is where they are staying. She is staying with her friend, her mother and her son.  I believe they can stay there until May. Her son actually started school in Germany this week also. I do not know the procedures at the refugee center but they have done a pretty good job of explaining the steps. She always seemed to have an itinerary for the first couple of weeks. Now she walks, travels and cooks. She has settled in to a point but still feels strange in a different world and the lack of communication in either English or German. I am not certain on all of the procedures as she has handled most of that and just informs me of the tasks at hand.

Thanks much for the greater detail. I prefer her to stay in Poland and go to Germany at the time of the interview.
